Hi there guys,

I have been creeping this forum for the last couple of months while making my transition from real cigarettes to electronic smokes and I have now made the transition in full -- I haven't had a real cigarette for two weeks now and don't really even crave it any more thanks to my egoT tanks.

I have a question about VG liquid. I recently ran out of the liquids I purchased with my vaporisers and now that Australians can't sell liquids containing nicotine, I ordered some liquids from Heaven Gifts in China. After reading around a bit, I decided to go with VG liquids and got a few bottles of varying flavours.

Here's the thing, the liquids I started with didn't tell me if they were PG or VG or blends and they worked wonderfully, had good strong flavour and had a good throat hit. I started vaping with my new VG liquid last night and it feels completely different. The flavour is barely noticeable, it hurts my throat and the part that is really getting to me, it really stings my tongue, like really stings. (Imagine putting a blob of toothpaste on your tongue and sucking it like a candy.)

Is this normal, is there something I can do (like buy some PG liquid and blend it or something) to remove this issue? Is it something that is well known about VG liquids that I have missed in my research?

Anyway, thanks for providing this awesome resource, I will look forward to your replies.

NB: The nicotine level is 16mg on the Heaven Gifts liquid and the nicotine level on the original liquids I was using was simply stated as being "High" which I found to be somewhere between 16 and 24mg. (Thanks for letting me know I missed this, TheMuppet)

you may be getting some hot VG on your tongue also ?? what carto\tank\ce are you using ??

This is a bit of point of contention for me as the company I purchased the egoT through rebranded it with their own packaging and it doesn't seem to say exactly what type it is. I think it is the Type A.

16mg is not really very high. You may be someone that VG doesn't agree with, but I'd also suspect the flavorings in the juice. What flavor, if I may ask.

I got three different flavours and they all have the same effect: strawberry, grape and peach. (All Joyetech)

I am almost certain it is not the "VG". Glycerin is a soothing, mellow-sweet substance. It is not irritant, and does not feel like that at all.

Anything else in a juice can cause such a sensation - nicotine, PG (unlikley, since you vaped it before so you are probably not allergic), alcohol (ethanol), and any number of flavorings. Typically cinnamon and malic acid (used for tartness) can do that.

So, then, what flavors are causing this? What is the brand of juice? And, what I don't understand from your post - is this the first time you are vaping nicotine?

There's always the possiblity that a contaminant or unusual component is causeing this. In general, my advice for pretty much anything is - if it hurts, then stop.

On the other hand, what glycerin in juice does is subdue flavors and tone down throat hit.
