VG = Vegetable Glycerin PG = Propylene Glycol.

In general VG will produce more vapour than PG but doesn't tend to carry flavourings as well. PG doesn't produce as much vapour but tends to carry flavour better. Most juices are some mix of the two depending on preference. Technically you can use any with any atomizer. Just keep in mind that VG tends to have higher viscosity (thicker fluid) so may not wick as well on some setups.

Personally, I tend to buy juice that is 50/50 or sometimes 70/30 (70% PG), I find that with a lot of high VG juices the flavours tend to be muted.

Taste and feel are subjective so it's best to try a few PG/VG ratios in a few different flavours and see what works for you.

Hi. Let me give it a shot.

PG is propylene glycol. It is thin like water and does a great job carrying flavor. It also adds throat hit, it is harsher than VG. A lot of the flavorings used by vendors and DIY are mixed in PG.

VG is vegetable glycerin. It is thick like corn syrup and has a slightly sweet taste. There usually has to be a higher % of flavoring added to high VG juices and they tend to need to steep longer. Higher VG juices are the ones that produce the biggest clouds, but may clog up an atty faster, so many will dilute with a small amount of distilled water.

Different devices will perform better with certain pg/vg ratios. I run my Russian 91 and Kayfuns with 70/30 or 50/50 pg/vg. I do not vape high vg juices because they give me a heavy chest feeling and I feel congested. Some people are sensitive to the pg. You have to see where your correct ratio is.

The general properties are that VG is somewhat sweet, produces more vapor, and is thicker. It doesn't carry flavor as effectively either. PG produces more throat hit (though nicotine provides most throat hit) and carries flavors well, but doesn't provide as big a cloud.

Some people are sensitive to one or the other, usually PG. Most people have no negative reaction to either, so it is mostly a matter of figuring out what proportion you like best. I don't like sweet flavors, and am more interested in flavor than clouds, so I use at least 70 pg to 30 vg, and now that I am mixing my own it is ending up closer to 80/20.

You should be able to use almost any combination in a Nautilus mini, though if you go 100% VG it might have some problems wicking fast enough. If that is a problem, then you can add a small amount of distilled water to thin it out a little, but most commercial liquids have already done that if it is needed.

And Welcome to ECF!

I do not have Itaste Clk 1280 but I do have itaste MVP 2 running full tilt 5 volt between 2 Nautilus Minis and 1 full size Nautilus, 1.8 ohm. Filled with EZ Duz It From Ruthless 90% VG/10% PG 6mg.

Same juice filling up 2 of my Keyfun Lite Plus 1.3 ohm @ 18 watts on DNA 30... my eyes about to roll backward from the hit hahaha.

High VG is doable on Nautilus, just have to pick and choose. Not all high VG juices from different company are the same.

Thank you for this. I have been vaping over month and on and off using a high VG juice for nice thick clouds. But here recently I have been having the heavy chest feeling, very congested and thought it was just vaping in general. I used only my 60pg/40vg blend today and feel much better.
