VG quality and "flavor"

I have very little experience with VG, but with the experience I do have, it seems to me different VG has innate flavor qualities to it. I have Wal-Mart glycerin just because it was available and it seems to have that "cloudy" taste. Am I just overthinking it or is it true that some VG tastes better than others?

And yes, after purchasing some high-quality vg, I tasted and vaped Wally vg unflavored -- and immediately threw it in the trash. I'm very pleased with the quality of Wizard Labs vg and fully recommend. It's crystal clear, sweet and with no aftertastes. There are cheaper such as Essential Depot but I have not tried. I would love to see a side-by-side comparison of these two.

I use the ED VG, and it has a very slight sweet taste to it. There are no other flavor tones that I am capable of discerning in it.
