I just bought a kanger Subtank. I filled it with high VG juice that I bought today. When I inhale I feel like my throat is very tight and it's much harder To draw. Is this normal with high VG ? I've only tried 50/50 previously. I'm hoping it's not just the way the new tank is, as I just spent 70 bucks on the tank and coils.

Also, now that I'm using the Atlantis/Subtank and vaping at much higher watts then what I'm used to, all of the juice is intensely sweet. It's so sweet that it's almost unpleasant and my teeth start to hurt. Are there any brands or pg/VG blends, or tricks to help with the sweetness intensity? Do you find that you all of a sudden get used to it being that sweet? I'm using a variety of brands but have noticed itc is the sweetest and can't vape it in the Atlantis.

I find that with high wattage vaping, the flavors are more intense. I DIY my own juice, so when I make a juice that I want to vape at high wattage, I use a lot of VG (typically 90%) and use half the flavoring that I usually do. Also, I find that 3mg/ml nic is plenty for me at 40-50 watts, but if I'm going 50-70 watts, 2% is great, then 70+, either 1% or 0mg juice works best for me. Any more and I get light headed.

It's a balance. VG is pretty sweet, so yeah, probably contributes greatly to why I use half or less flavoring in my high-watt juices.

Edit to add: To respond correctly to your questions;

Is this normal with high VG ? Not in my experience. It's PG that does that to me.

Are there any brands or pg/VG blends, or tricks to help with the sweetness intensity? The only trick I know of to reduce the sweetness of VG is to cut it with PG. That will dilute your juice to have less flavor, less nicotine, and more throat hit. Hopefully someone will know of a product that I don't know of yet and post it for you.

Oh, you could also try diluting with distilled water instead of using PG. Just put about 3 drops in your tank and see if that works. Do that before you go diluting the whole bottle, so you don't ruin it if it doesn't work the way you want it.
