My homemade only VG/mostly VG peach flavor seems to decline in flavor over a few days. It is not that I am getting to where I can't taste it, since I use other flavors and this doesn't happen with them. I do swirl it around to mix it, so it shouldn't be a separation problem. Do we need to "age" the VG with the flavor at first and then add a little more flavor? Any others having this problem with peach or other flavors? PG or VG?

This is Lorann's peach flavoring.

I am going to try letting it "age" a little. Either making it strong and waiting for it to absorb some of the flavor, or keep adding flavor as it ages until it seems to be stable. It seems to happen over the first week or so.

I have another flavor that is strong and it is staying strong. Not sure what the difference is with that one.

I also use VG based juice with Lorann flavoring. I've taken to only mixing 1 days worth at a time.

VG for sure seems to dull the flavor, but I have some flavors that I mixed up a month or so ago that still seem to taste as they did then (lorann tropical punch comes to mind, wow that stuff is strong).

Just curious, did you try switching to a different flavor, then returning to it later in the day, to see if the flavors still seemed weaker?

I notice first thing in the morning the flavor is full strength, then after about an hour, the only way I can really notice the flavor is if I exhale through my nose. This seems normal across the board. I normally don't use a high % of flavoring in my mixes because I'm always experimenting :) So it could be that I simply don't use enough flavoring for it to stand out so much.

On a side note, I did mix up a new flavor I've been working on, kind of like a brown sugar flavor, it seemed to taste better the next morning, but that could have just been a clean palate.

I would like to make a challenge, here. VG user's making your own juice, give ECOpure "Krystal" a try, instead of unflavored nic generic VG. Krystal is 36mg/ml VG, and it is an "aqueous VG" which means that it has not been distilled down to it's thickest viscosity, and it also contains Ethyl Maltol. I was trying to perfect my 'knock-off" version of Johnson Creek Original in VG, which is no longer available. I tried and tried but it just wouldn't "click" until I used the Krystal. The First batch was Spot On!!
You can get it Stateside now, I got mine from Intellicig UK in the big 500 ml tub, but you can get it from a few vendors now, one of which is Cignot.com. Terri ships fast, maybe this will make a difference for you all with your flavors as well. This will also help keep your attys working IMHO much better than with generic VG, I've been using tobacco absolutes and caramel flavors, one of the cloggiest you can do, with no trouble yet. I found the vapor is high volume and super clean.
