I have been struggling to try my own version of a Butter/Rum that's close to my commercial favorite (Vermillion River's). I am close, but not quite there yet.
My most recent attempts were all VG and all PG which leads me to believe that VG is not neutral but has it's own under-lying taste. To me, it's sweetish and prone to transfer a 'metallic' burnt taste with my ViVi Nova tanks. PG seems to be almost neutral but I dripped some PG on a new carto and it too has a 'taste' but it seems to go away with anything more than 2% flavoring. I get most of my flavoring from flavourart concentrates.
Is all VG (and PG) the same? Or are my taste issues a result of the stock I have? I stocked-up on both from E-cigXpress and Wizard Labs. BTW - my DIY liquids range from zero to .5mg nicotine from the same suppliers. It was only as my nic content got lower that I noticed the difference in the taste of the base liquids.
To be clear - the VG taste is not bad I just wonder if this is something a DIY juice maker needs to account for.
TIA, Doug.
