Hi All,
I just got my new E-8 Micro 2 days ago and love it! Problem is that the carts die pretty quick, so I'm looking into ways to refill them. I've read on this forum and other places, different recipes for making my own juice.
Some call for Propylene Glycol and some call for Vegetable Glycerine. Is this just a matter of taste for folks? The VG is a bit easier to find at stores.
The big question is... Which one gives a stronger hit and the most vapor?
Thanks!

Hi. I started with PG as the marb flavor only came that way but the thought of "healthier" VG was attractive. So far, I've found that the VG for me give a bit less vapor and throat hit and is a bit more outside temperature sensitive. I've taken to mixing my PG marb with VG JC at a 3 to 1 mix and have been pretty happy with that. Throat hit also seems to go up with higher nic content ... 18mg stronger than 11mg, etc...

I have an issue with PG, after using about 2 months I developed an extremely sore throat, hoarsness. So switched my mix to the same flavor, strength but with Vegetable Glycerin, and that has solved the problem for the most part, although after a couple days of sitting at the computer, etc., I do seem to get the hoarsness back, but that could be just over-use, I hope! VG is not quite so drying, maybe want to brush my teeth a little more (greasy?) but doesn't seem to be a difference in flavor, etc. I did a little experiment, did a couple carts with PG, and the same hoarsness and sore throat came back fast, so will stick with VG for now.

I think I could be having some issues with PG myself. I started with the 24 mg nicotine Totally Wicked menthol and I am pretty sure it was the source of some nausea.

Switched to 11 mg non-PG Johnson Creek Chocolate though I couldn't get enough throat hit. I also disliked the oily feeling in my throat and the VG did not vape through my DSE901 well at all.

I vaped the sample kit flavors from Johnson Creek alone for a while (18 mg PG) and I seemed OK with it. I have ordered 18 mg Tennessee Cured PG from JC.

But it seems I still might have nausea issues with PG--lthough with the blistering heat I'm hoping it is a combo of PG and de-hydration.

I have been topping off the DSE901 prior to every vape. I just can't be satisfied without a powerful throat hit.

And I'm probably vaping way too often while I'm trying to find out which ecig/juice I like.

I seemed to get used to Marlboros when I first started analog smoking when I was 14 :)

Time will tell... Or I'll run out of available cash to spend. Can ejuice be used as garden fertilizer ? :)
