"Propylene Glycol is a traditionally used as a food additive. Recently Propylene Glycol has enjoyed some popularity as the main ingredient/base for e-juice, and e-liquids.Because Propylene Glycol is NOT a natural product. We recommend using our Natural Vegetable Glycerin, instead of Propylene Glycol, because it can be used as a substitute for Propylene Glycol in most (but not all) applications."

VG is certainly an option - some people are sensitive to PG moreso than VG - but PG has been studied for effects on humans since the 1940s, so while it may not occur in nature (not sure anyone ever said it did lol) that doesn't make it bad - many things are manufactured - some from plants - that aren't considered 'a natural product' (to me a natural product is something unaltered from its natural state - which wouldn't include Vg as its cooked up in a lab lol)
I use both together as I think it makes the best vape (80% PG + 20% VG)

There is a world wide glut of glycerin that has caused major companies like Dow Chemical and Proctor & Gamble to shut down glycerin producing plants...prompted by US and European government incentives for biodiesel production and use.

One lb of glycerin is produced as a byproduct for every 10 lbs of biodiesel...this year about a million tons of glycerin will be produced as a by product, of which half is estimated will be dumped. Worldwide efforts are being focused to use glycerin to produce propylene glycol (pg)...one factor is that the cost of glycerin is lower and more predictable than crude oil currently used to produce pg.

So the bottom line is that in a little while both vg and pg will have the same "natural" source, i.e., plant and animal fat "cooked up in a lab" as CJ correctly said.

My only experience on this is that PG dries my throat a bit but gives me a better throat hit.

I have both types... pg/vg/ and pg/vg mix.

No real ill effects from either. Just a little dry mouth from PG.
