VG vs. PG

Okay. I just tried my first vg juice and I am not to happy with any of them. They just don't have the taste of PG. So my question is what are the pros and cons of VG vs PG. I have searched the site and this info really isn't in one place and its all very confusing. So can anyone sort this out and make a quick list. Maybe if we get a good one we can get it stickied for us newbs.

Hello all,

Vaping for 40 days now, but read and tried lots of different items.
From reading forums:
VG produces more vapor but very little flavor
PG made in USA has more flavor but less vapor, China PG has less flavor

Personally tried:

purchased same flavor 2 bottles, 1 PG and 1 VG, then took another empty bottle and poured in half of PG and half of VG. This way I got some flavor and vapor. I did not like that to much because not enough flavor for me but this mix satisfied my need to see vapor. Maybe a mix of 70% PG for more flavor and 30% VG for vapor will work better.
For now I will stick with PG.
Also VG creates more stress on the attys because it is a more thicker liquid, where PG is more like water and does not clog up the attys as much.
.

Hope this helps.

VG does have less of a throat hit but it has tons of vapor.
PG has a great throat hit and enough vapor.

I've been experimenting like many and purchased from Ms T's Bakery with 20%VG 80%PG with all of my favorite flavors plus a few samples and found this to be the pot of gold that I was looking for. Her juice has really strong flavors. So now, I get the best of the best with the flavor, more vapor and still a great throat hit. I'm a happy camper now.

I've only been gaping for a week and a half so here is my take. VG definitely has more vapor. PG has a better throat hit. Someone mentioned that VG causes more stress on the atomizer, this seems to make the pull harder. PG is an easier pull. I haven't noticed much difference in flavor yet. I like both. I may try mixing the two together one day. Or maybe adding some VG to the PG mix. Try both and see what you like, that's all I can say.

I have wondered the same thing about the PG vs. VG concept. Ok it seems like a near consensus that the PG has a stronger TH (throat hit) than VG but, in general, which one produces more vapor?

Everyone here seems to agree that VG produces more vapor and I would agree. I got VG from Gourmet Vapor and it's only 5% PG and it has a LOT more vapor but yea the flavors are very very subtle. I just ordered some more juice from a couple of diff vendors with a 20% vg to 80% pg ratio. I can't wait to try them and hope that this will end some of my search especially for vanilla. I have spent more money in the last two weeks then I ever did smoking or snusing so the wife isn't the happiest. I sold this to her as "oh honey think of the money I will save" concept.
