Where you least expect it....
Don't have any personal experience since I use only 400 mesh. However, many say that 500 is better for wicking. So, you should have better luck with that. Also, try and make a thicker wick. eg 50-60mm. That should help as well.

i use alot of vg juices and since switching to 500 mesh i find it wicks alot better. now i am not sure of the knock-off DID, (which i heard has problems wicking) but i own a real DID, and using 500 mesh rocks. the dimensions for the real DID i roll an 1 1/2 x 4 1/2 inch piece of 500 mesh. when done this wick is rolled really tight, no center hole. so far of all the meshes i have used/ 270,325,400 the 500 works the best. also of all the types of rolls/ loose wick with big center hole, medium wick with paper clip hole, etc. the hard roll works best for me. good luck

Yeah i leave the fill hole open and i am doing the tight wrap no hole. I did try a few wicks with the holes all seemed the same. The top coil seems to be the culprit. I know the wrap is fine as i drained out the vg juice and put some halo juice in and no burnt taste. Waiting on a coop order of 500.

A guy i work with normally rebuilds my RBA's but i oxidized and wraped for the first rime today and got it first try, it is vaping like a champ. We ordered 30 of these clones and couldnt be happier

I use Bobas and other 100 VG juice. The 500 mesh works real well with them. On a mini DID, i wrap about 39x60 mm and roll tight so i leave a little room around the wick hole. i left the fill hole open too and havent had a problem so far, even when i chain vape. Then again, most of my problems are with shorts, not wicking

i do not actually own one of these DID clones and am unsure of the size of the wick hole. i do however own a regular DID. in a previous response to the wicking issues kingdal had stated that the size of 500 mesh he uses is 39x60 in his clone (which may be correct). now maybe the wick hole in the clone is less that half the diameter of the regular DID, i dont know. but i use 500 mesh in the reg DID and the measurements i use (not in freaking metric) is 1- 1/2 x 4- 1/2 inches. it is very tightly rolled, no center hole. i have tried using less mesh and i find that it wicks alot better with this amount of mesh. so maybe try doubling the width of mesh to see if that wicks any better. good luck.
