Now, I know that there are a lot of people that get their VG from different places, different vendors, etc ..

But the main point of this post is to find out exactly why people chose to use VG instead of PG (other than allergies, etc.). I understand that VG produces a denser vapor, but also heard that VG gives less flavor (unless you balance it out with more flavoring, of course!).

I've heard people getting their VG from Walmart, and it lasting them a really long time; and I've searched on the Walmart website for that bottle of VG, or glycerine, but have no clue what to get. I'm not even sure if my local Walmart carries it.

So, aside from discussing the differences of VG vs. PG, would someone kindly direct me to the exact bottle of glycerine that people use for DIY? It'd be a hell of a lot more convenient, since I want to get into DIY mixing.

Thanks guys, and leave this an open discussion!

I like vg because the vape is thicker and feels heavier in my lungs. The only thing I cut it with is the flavor so mine is thick. Plus I get a sore throat if I use to much pg.

If your going to mix your own juice you have to find a place to get unflavored nicotine vg or pg wallmart dosen't sell that.
I get mine from Extreme vaping.:2cool:

I'm actually trying to cut out nicotine all together.

Is there any stores like WalMart, Michaels, etc .. That carries flavors that you can put into the VG?

look again by the cake supplies for flavorings. Usually lorannes. Just make sure you don't get ones with oil. Michaels and hobby lobby.

You want to use a calculator to figure out how much of what to mix.

This is the one that i use. eJuice Me Up - e-Juice e-Liquid Recipe Calculator

If you want just vg and juice think of it this way mixing a 10 mil bottle at 10% flavor the flavor amount to mix in is 1 mil a 20 mil bottle 10% flavor amount to mix is 2 mil and so on.

Never mix nic without calculator ( just stating i no your trying to get awy from it)

Alot of people say 20 drops is a mil but not real accurate.

So! Sorry for the bump.

I got the Humco brand glycerine from Walmart for about $3. Now, can you just use it by itself? On the directions it says to dillute with water, but that's just for skin and stuff.

I heard of people using just PG or VG to clean out flavors from their atties and all that azz. Can this stuff by itself be used to do that?

Thanks guys, and I apologize or the bump.

I use 100% VG (apart from the flavour element) because I'm not a big fan of throat-hit. For me it's about the feeling in the lungs.
If you just use straight VG and flavour you might find that the cartos struggle a bit to wick properly. Fine for dripping though.
I mix in a little bit of distilled water to thin it a bit but for some reason I keep reading that you shouldn't do that. I very rarely pop atties or cartos, I throw them out when they lose taste. Maybe there is some chemical in distilled water that is toxic. :p

Distilled water contains nothing but water. You distill water to remove impurities and minerals and leave nothing but pure water when you're done. There is nothing toxic in it.

I use distilled water frequently to thin all Vg liquids so they wick better in tank atty's and cartos. :)
