for the purpose of my question diy means totally diy. no flavorless commercial eliquid here

mixing is what i mean when you have flavorless commercial e liquid and add loranss to it.

I tried to type this a little bit ago but my nighttime meds and a couple beers have just made me unable to think right now and word this question so i just listed out all the questions i had

1. When mixing with commercial flavourless juice and loranns if you put 60% flavorless and 40 percent flavor is that a correct forumila? if not then what is.

2. I heard you can buy glycerin at walmart, is this vegetable glycerin? if so can you put loranns in this and just vape away or do you need other things.

3. where do you get pure nicotine? can you get 38 mgs and cut it down or do people just use pure nicotine?

4.can you mix vg and pg in the same juice? if so would like a 60% pg and 40 % vg work? and then you would just add nicotine and flavor?

Anything else you think I need to know?

my mind is so spaced out right now that i might have to make another post tommorrow

I'd suggest using the e-Juice calculator @ eJuice Recipe Calculator

You can use the Wilton's glycerin @ Walmart, though I'd suggest buying both VG and PG USP grade either online or from a local health foods store for VG and pharmacy for PG

3. where do you get pure nicotine? can you get 38 mgs and cut it down or do people just use pure nicotine?
I would advocate against ever handling pure nicotine. Just order yourself a 500ML bottle of 36 or 48mg or so from china (Dekang brand) for about $100...bestecig.com is one of the cheapest suppliers for this, but you'll have to E-mail them for their wholesale price list.

4.can you mix vg and pg in the same juice? if so would like a 60% pg and 40 % vg work? and then you would just add nicotine and flavor?
Yes, you can mix both VG & PG. A lot of people do this because VG is so thick and needs to be diluted somehow. You can also just use strictly VG and dilute with distilled water or pure grain alcohol/vodka

Anything else you think I need to know?
Check out the DIY e-Liquid sub-forum. Plenty of information there.

No. That would be way too much flavor, imo. There are threads in the DIY liquid forum that has various recipes and they vary greatly depending on what flavors are being used - some are strong, some not but just for an idea, you might be adding 10 drops of flavoring to 50 drops of unflavored.

2. I heard you can buy glycerin at walmart, is this vegetable glycerin? if so can you put loranns in this and just vape away or do you need other things.

Glycerin is usually vegetable glycerin but you want to make sure by reading ingredients and you want "USP" type which is 'food grade'. You could put flavoring in this and vape away. It would be no nicotine juice of course.

3. where do you get pure nicotine? can you get 38 mgs and cut it down or do people just use pure nicotine?

You don't get 'pure 100% nicotine'. You get unflavored juice that has a level of nicotine - say 36mg... although there is some 48mg and 60mg sold for mixing only. You mix it by targeting a final nicotine level you want - say 12mg, then dilute with either vegetable glycerin or propylene glycol or a combination of them in order to get to that level. Eg.: if you start with 36mg unflavored, if you mix that 1 part to 1 part VG then you have 18mg nicotine juice, to which you add flavoring. Depending on how much flavoring you use you're going to end up with 16-17mg nic flavored juice.

4.can you mix vg and pg in the same juice? if so would like a 60% pg and 40 % vg work? and then you would just add nicotine and flavor?

Yes you can mix pg and vg. There is no set ratio so you could do a 60/40 mix. First though your nicotine juice is going to be in either pg or vg so you have to take that into account.

Anything else you think I need to know?

Just an example:

You want to end up with @12mg Butterscotch juice.
You have on hand 36mg nicotine juice in PG.
You have both unflavored no nic PG and VG and want to add some VG for vapor.

You first take the no nic pg and vg and mix it 1:1. You take that mix and mix it with the 36mg nic juice on a 2:1 basis 2 parts of the pg/vg mix and 1 part nic juice. You now have 12mg. You now add the flavoring. You might start off with 10 drops and test, add another 10 and test - keeping track of how many drops and say you add 5 more drops and get the flavoring right. Now you've diluted the 12mg mixture some - you could leave it at that or day add some more drops of the 36mg juice to bring it back towards 12mg.

To answer your question about getting glycerin at Walmart...There is a brand of glycerin that I bought there and the brand is Humco. You can find it in the band-aid section. The bottle is a 6 FL OZ bottle. It is USP Glycerin. I'm using now and for the last three weeks and have not had any problems.

I've read on this forum that it is vegetable glycerin even though it does not say that on the bottle. But don't take my word for it. I did alot of research on Humco glycerin before actually vaping it.

The label says skin protectant, and it also says 99.5% Glycerin. The other 0.5% is Anhydrous..which means there is 0.5% water. Don't let the working fool you.

I've read on here that some people have had bad or allergic reactions to vaping Glycerin so test it out first before using a bunch of it for DIY.
