Vicious Ant Cyclone RBA

Hi:

I've done some research on rba's that are very simple to rebuild using pre-made coils. The Cyclone looks to be the easiest so far. I've been having problems working in the small space allowed in an rba and holding the wire while trying to get it around the screw. The Cyclone looks pretty much plug and play. Should I get the one with the adjustable air flow or the standard one? Also, does it take a standard 510 drip tip? All impressions regarding this RBA or alternatives are appreciated. Thanks to all who respond.

I have the Cyclone with the AFC cap and the fusion drip tip. I bought the bottom fed version to use on a Reo, but I ended up using it as a standard dripper on my Provari. It's a very well built RDA, and with the AFC cap it's easy to tune it to get the type of vape you want (flavor vs. clouds). I just checked, and it does accept my regular 510 drip tips. However, they seem a tad bit loose; tight enough to work, but a bit looser than I would like them to fit.

The deck isn't nearly as large as something like a Nimbus, but the posts do have holes to accept the legs of the coil. Which should be much easier than wrapping wires around a screw. One downside is that you do have to use the included allen wrench, as opposed to a screw driver, to tighten the stock screws. And the allen wrench is tiny. However, if it's an issue, I know some people have swapped the stock screws with phillips head screws to make it easier.

One bit of advice I have is to use magnification and good light when working on this small stuff. I use a Maginification Visor and it has made wrapping and mounting coils a whole lot easier for my aging eyes.

I'm a little late finding this thread but I got my Cyclone AFC last Saturday and I'm in love with this thing! lol. I highly recommend the AFC with it. It was part of the reason I wanted this particular RBA. You can get the whole unit at Nimbus 9 Vape for $75. I know him personally and he will treat you right.

I'm a little late finding this thread but I got my Cyclone AFC last Saturday and I'm in love with this thing! lol. I highly recommend the AFC with it. Yea, Joseph is great. And his friend Keith at Diamond-Vapor is starting to sell some of them but he hasn't updated his website yet and they are just in his store. I was pleasantly surprised when I got mine at their store on Saturday

you can try to carefully remove the drip tip oring and wraps a short piece of dental floss in the groove and install the oring over it. it snugged up some of my less quality china drip tips in some of my RDAs.

as per the cyclone, i have a buddy that swears by his with the AFC. i swear by my nimbus. i think its very much related to appearance. the cyclone is rather small and move blends into the provari's beveled top. i use a nimbus so i feel like it looks better on some mechanical like my sigelei 8. i had a cyclone clone and i didn't like its appearence on my mods other than the provari. i did also find it slightly tight to work with. it definitely doesn't have the deck space of say an IGO-L or W or nimbus, even with the holes in the posts for coil legs.

Yea, I'm having to try to get used to the smaller area but I do love the way the posts are set up that you can just feed the wire in the hole in the post and not have to wrap it around the post. That part made it so much easier for me. I've only made one coil since Saturday on mine so I need a little practice working in the smaller area. But with 2 mm ekowool and .5 ribbon wire at about 6-7 wraps (forget exactly how many), it's coming out at 2.2 ohms and I am using it on my Provari. It does look nice on the chrome Provari I have.

I almost bought the Cyclone for my Wife. She has a pink Provari, and insisted on having the pink ERA. I also bought a gold ERA for my Buzz Pro from Nimbus 9.

I've only had the cheaper Igo-L's so this one was the first expensive one I've invested in. I searched around alot and wanted to invest in something real good but not too crazy expensive. I also had a hard time getting the air flow working good on my Igo-l's, which I drilled out ever so slightly and haven't been super crazy with the airy draw to get decent vapor on them. So I do love the adjustable air flow holes on these.

I have an IGO-L that is my Go to. But I recently got a bulldog RBA from OKC vapes and have found it to be much easier to build. I also drilled out my IGO to a 1/16 " air hole and have found the bulldog to have more air flow than a stock IGO-l and less than the 1/16" hole. So it may hot the sweet spot for you as well. The buldog has the holes for the coil legs to "plug" into and go and for the price I think it may be a good fit for you. Heres the link-

They are great little RDAs. My only complaint, and it's a minor one, is the itsy-bitsy allen wrench necessary to work with the stock screws.

Yep, that's true. I hope if I ever have to replace it that I can find another one that small.

I got my AFC Cyclone today. A sweet birthday gift from my boys. It's very elegant. Lot's of room to work with. The air flow adjustments are just amazing.

I got my second Cyclone AFC last weekend. I need to find out where to get replaceable allan wrenches for them though. I lost the first one at a hotel I was staying in over the weekend Anyone know where to get the same size? I went to Home Depot and they don't sell such tiny allan wrenches. Also, replacement tiny screws would be nice to have on hand because I"m sure inevitably one of them will be lost forever if they ever fall off while I'm putting a new coil on it. That's the only bad thing about this rebuildable; otherwise, I love it.

Thanks alot! Someone had told me it was a .9mm allan wrench? And then I tried googling and looking online and never had any luck. This one appears to be a different size so maybe I was told wrong before?

You're welcome. I have ERA's, a Caliber, and the Cyclone. All three take the M2 allen screws.

Seems like most of your questions have been answered! As for drip tips-go to Home Depot or Lowes/Ace and in the plumbing section-look for Danco o-rings. Purchase the #47/#60 and #36. These should help in the fit of your drip tips-they do for me and I have a ton.

Thanks again, Jimmy D! I went by a vendor's shop on the way home from work and he showed me his $9 allan wrench he bought with a handle on it, for the Cyclone. Told me it was great. I had to tell him I got a link from you for .99 cents.OMG! I'm gonna have to order it and he looked at me dumbfounded. lol. Great info to spread, Jimmy D! I'm anxious to order it next payday!
