As fun as it is going to school for a semester, I really miss my family and friends from home during the year. During the summer I get to come home and see my parents and see how much taller my teenage brother is (he's 5 years younger but can finally look down at me).

All my other friends come home from school as well around the same time so it's a big reunion. To me, summer means getting to catch up with loved ones and; in my book, it doesn't get much better than that.

It doesn't hurt that I don't have any tests to study for either

A favorite thing about summer is that it stays late longer at night. So I don't have to use my head lamp to see
when we are grilling out .

Favorite thing about summer is outdoor concerts. Our city gives free concerts every Sunday night
at Chamizal National Park. It’s called Music Under the Stars.

fishing at sunup or sunset cool and fish are generally biting then. mmm would love some fried up fish in Cajun meal. Hot and spicy catfish.

I like that there is a break in school in the summer, so I have some time off from the demanding sciences I have to take.
for example last semester I was taking anatomy and I was studying all day long.

Favorite thing about summer is Viva El Paso at the outdoor ampitheater in McKelligan Canyon.

somejerk- I remember taking oral & dental anatomy and studying for that course and cramming for exams.
It was incredibly hard. I feel ya! I couldn't wait for summer to give my brain a break.
