I've been in and out of the Reo site for a week now and am thinking about a Reo Grand, seriously. Cost is the hesitating factor right now. I'd need new protected batteries, a rebuilable dripper and some cartomizers for the Reo. I wonder if there will ever be a regulated VW Reo down the road.

No protected batteries. Just safe chemistry AW IMR batteries.

Cost - You can often find a "blem" mod on the site (a blem to REO is a brand new mod with a paint imperfection usually not discernible to anyone but REO and would most likely be sold on any other vendors site as a perfect unit). REOs blems are less expensive than the ones not called blemished mods.

All my REOs with the exception of the tumbled I just bought have been purchased from REO as blems and I don't see anything I'd consider a blemish.

You can PM redeyedancer (REO) if what your looking for isn't listed in his site and inquire about blems.

If recommend a Rebuildable dripper - this one to be exact - the Odin Bottomfed. You can buy it from Loki lab.

And here's how to build it:

Congrats y'all :). You should dip into the REOsmods section of the forum and say hey :)

They are without question the friendliest, most helpful bunch you'll likely meet on a forum - or anywhere for that matter.

It is also a very vibrant and busy forum. I trust you will dig it as much as I do. Here's a link:

Thank you, very much. Yes, I will head over to the Reo boards.

I'd been collecting high end tube mods for about 3 years, before ordering my first Reo a month ago. I'd been aware of the Reos for quite a while, but I just never bothered. eventually, I succumbed to the pull, and ordered my first. Two more Reos soon followed. There's nothing like them. It's the flavor of vaping an RDA on a mechanical, without the hassle of dripping. With few exceptions, a serious mech user/dripper would be hard pressed to put it down, after trying one.
