Hi everyone, I've got a problem that could not be fixed by Voopoo yet. I'd like to know if anyone had the same issues and/or has any solutions here.

First of all, I've been vaping since 2016. I've got 8 mods (including mechs), several vape pens, more than 15 atomizers, any kind of wires, gadgets, etc. I've also made my own e-liquids (but not now, it consumes too much time). Briefly, I'm not a newbie regarding vape; I smoked more than 20 years before I switched to vape and vape is not only an alternative to smoking, but also a hobby to me.

Second; my Vinci X pod mod, PnP-VM1 0.3 OHM coils, batteries, charger and e-liquids I currently use are genuine. I generally vape 6 mg/ml OHW's and Dinner Lady's nowadays. I performed scratch checks for all of them.

Here's the issue: I've been using Vinci X pod kit for more than three months and I really love this pod-mod among my other devices. The problem is, for about a month, my mod turns off occasionally by itself and I have to turn it on to continue using again and again. Than after several draws, it turns off. It's driving me crazy.

I used brand new Efest 3500 mAh/20A batteries which I charge with a Nitecore D4 charger. I thought the problem was temporary but it hasn't gone away. As long as I don't press the fire button, as the screen fades away for standby, the device shuts down. I wrote to Voopoo, and someone named Yuki replied me saying that I should use batteries with 30A and above discharge rate. Didn't believe in the solution, but still, bought 35A Sony VTC5 batteries, installed them and the result didn't change (by the way, I tested the device with any possible battery I have in hand). I told the situation to Yuki from Voopoo, and she sent me some ".swdf" extension firmware updates. I installed the updates with no faith (I'd already tried the ones on the Vooopoo support page) and it did not work. I wrote to Yuki from Voopoo the third time and I'm waiting for the next answer from them.

So, the problem is yet not resolved. I love the device but can not use it. Of course, I have other devices but Vinci X is the only pod mod I have with replaceable battery. I use Smok RPM 40 but it's fixed battery perfomance is too bad, goes onlşy half the day.

Lastly, I can not send the device for Warranty because vaping is prohibited/illegal in the country I live (no services in the country); and this CoVid issue changed evertything upside down. I'd really appreciate any solution which I can use to solve the issue by myself.

Kind regards.

Today's update:

I've been in contact with Voopoo via e-mail since the beginning of March. They offered me several solutions (changing the battery, updating the device) and lastly wanted my sales receipt and the photo of the device's box. I've provided them with all information they wanted, and their latest emails says:

For replacement, kindly pls ship the defect device to our address as below, after we receive it and get it examined, if a manufactuerer defect, will arrage you a brand new replacement.
However, the shipment cost to Voopoo HQ China is more than 100 bucks, more than the device's sale price. I won't be shipping the device to Voopoo, thus I'll wait for another software update and/or user solution for the situation.

Any user feedback will be appreciated.

If vaping is illegal in your country, then you are stuck.
Assuming that the Vinci was still in the warranty period, then
you could have pressured them for at least a discount on a new
replacement from them.
But, since it's illegal and I assume you can't have a replacement shipped to you, i guess you have to live with it.

@blaberusgiganteus I'm having the exact same issue as of today. Same mod since January, and suddenly today it shuts off after 2 puffs. Exact same thing happens for any battery I try (I've tried 4 different batteries). I was on the original v1 software when this started to happen this morning. I just updated to the latest software, but it hasn't changed or fixed anything. It's an unusual issue, as it seems to be software related. I'm able to rapidly chain vape on it for about 10-15 puffs. I can also turn it on, and leave it for a minute and it still allows the 2 puffs/chain vape. Strange.
Did you hear anything back or find a fix?

I had a similar problem after about half year of use. I didn't do anything, I just put the mod aside and start use another VinciX. I tried using the problematic VincyX about a month later and there was no problem. My conclusion: it works short circuit protection. The problem arose due to microscopic leaks of e-liquid into the mod through the contacts and after drying it disappeared.
I believe that needed to disassemble the mod and process the Board and contacts with 96% alcohol but I could not find VinciX disassembly guide and I will be grateful for any help in this matter.
PS. excuse me for my bad english but I hope you understand me

That really shouldn't be happening in 2020. We had those problems with some unsealed cigalikes ca 2008. Clearly a design flaw.

That's outrageous. I've been vaping for over 10 years and on a few occasions I received a device that wasn't working as it should have. I was NEVER asked to pay for shipping of a faulty device (under warranty) back. Ever. Once I was asked for a video demonstrating the problem. Usually I just got a refund, a replacement, or a prepaid shipping label.

Here's some information from a specialist microelectronics coatings manufacturer, it may help give you some ideas.

Can I waterproof a printed circuit board (PCB) with conformal coating?

Can I waterproof a printed circuit board (PCB) with conformal coating? - Conformal Coating UK

Room temprature Nano coatings.

Room temperature Nano-coatings: Hydrophobic, water repellent, low cost

Acrylic conformal coatings.

Conformal coatings: UL approved, acrylic, polyurethane, silicone

So it seems as though there's a choice between Acrylic or Fluoropolymer for coatings, Fluoropolymer edges it slightly as it's low build and non electrically conductive. So it forms a thin layer, which is better for heat to dissipate from components and it won't cause electrical shorts. But that's hard to find anyting available, perhaps manufacturers should use this and dip the boards.

But been back and forth seeing what I can find and is available and I've finally found something.

Ambersil WebSite: Product Detail

That'll definitely work, but as the MDSS says. It's best used in open space and make sure your spraying downwind.

@VOOPOO_Thea, Fluoropolymer Conformal Coatings applied to the boards at the factory could possibly be the best option available.

Also it could be used as a selling point.

Just an idea though.
Thanks for suggestion.
We would like to give the feedback. Thanks : )
