After reading a bunch of glowing reviews, I decided to try Virgin Vapor! I ordered Pillow Dreams, Key Lime Pie and Black Cherry Marshmallow. My husband ordered Blackberry Vanilla Swirl, Root Beer and Blueberry Bliss.

The hubster got the mail today and loaded up his cartos as soon as he got home from work (I was sadly still working). He loved the flavors (very potent) but the vape production was seriously lacking. He used three different setups (he's a double fisted vaper and likes to swap off) - a regular ego, an ego twist and his z-max. Mediocre vapor on all three, at best.

I got home and tried his and had the same impression. Pretty tasty but lacking vapor. I immediately set myself up with 2 different flavors. I tried the cherry and the key lime. One was a carto, one was a clearo. So... I puffed away on my keylime pie. Got very little vapor and a strong alcohol taste. I looked at the bottle... Something was off. So I shook the mess out of it and it was cloudy. Turns out that whatever is in it separates super fast! I probably got mostly flavoring in the carto. Immediately chucked it :( Then I tried the cherry... While I could taste the cherry, it has strong, almost soapy undertones. *sigh* I'm so sad.

Anyone else with VV issues? I'm just not feeling it - I had gone in with such high hopes! The vapor production reminds me of when I was using a V2 with a low battery. The juice itself is very thin.

I'm planning on mixing these flavors with similar 100% VG juices - not sure that will help. I just hate to think that I wasted 24.00 on these.

I haven't had any experience with this vendor but most juices need to steep for a bit....I usually shake mine really well when I get them, then I remove the caps and let them sit for a couple of days in a dark place....after that I shake them daily but don't vape them for about a week.

I am not sure what is wrong as far as vapor production. Did you shake any of the juices before trying them?

Sounds like you got some juices that were high in PG when your used to more VG. VG = more vapor PG equals more throat hit and sometimes its hard to settle on a blend thats right for you.

If youre looking for a lot of flavor and vapor production I recommend Alien Visions.Im using their Hype at 24 mg, its 10/90 PG/VG has has loads of vapor production and is the best peach Ive ever tasted. Reminds me of Peach Schapps and Peach Rings Candy. Its my all day vape with their Craveloupe running a close second....its cantloupe and honey dew melon can best be described as vaping sunshine.

If youre a tobacco fan, give Bobas and Gorilla Juice a try, they are 100 percent VG and cant be beat for flavor, vapor production and mouth feel.

Sorry about your disappointment. Virgin Vapors makes one of my favorite flavors, so I hate reading when someone has a bad experience.

I do recommend that you put those away for a couple weeks and try them again. I have found that her juices taste best after a week or two of steeping. That is most likely the reason for the soapy or alcohol taste. Some of her flavors use an alcohol base and need to sit with the bottle cap off for a day or two to allow the alcohol to evaporate.

This is just something that myself and others have learned from experience and reading here on ECF. I hope should you re-try those flavors again after steeping that they have improved for your enjoyment.

I have found it helpful to see if the juice vendor has a sub-forum on ECF to get a feel from other customers who may have experience with certain flavors. I guess I just tend to research things more than others as this e-cig thing is unregulated and new and the more information that you can find the better. Anyway, this is the subforum for V V : http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/virgin-vapor/ Perhaps share your experience there to gain some insight from your experience.

Sounds like you got some juices that were high in PG when your used to more VG.

Unless ordered otherwise, Virgin Vapors juices are 100% organic Vg.

What you are tasting is the organic ethyl alcohol base that the flavors come in. Sometimes it goes away by steeping with the cap off, and sometimes it doesn't. I experienced the same thing with VV liquids and decided to move on because I could always taste it a little no matter how long they steeped. I believe they also use distilled water to thin the liquids in order to make them easier to use in cartos/tanks.

Well, I've figured that although I don't like the juices on their own, they really taste wonderful mixing them with a complimentary flavor. My black cherry marshmallow was mixed with one called "happy bday" - think cake. It totally knocked my socks off. I'm going to try to mix in a little bit of unflavored vg with them to see if I cant get a little bit more vapor and less of a soap flavor. Going to try some unflavored pg too just to see if that works. I do like the flavors, just not the performance.

I haven't written them off yet!

Seems like people are either nuts about VV or they're disappointed. I never have been able to get around that alcohol base flavor, shaken, steeped or unsteeped - I don't think it's awful but it overrides and over-influences other flavors. I think it's a very good quality juice, unlike some of the drek that gets peddled, just distinct in an idiosyncratic way. I have a friend who vapes nothing else. I do get plenty plume from her concoctions with at least 50% VG.

At the moment, I'm vaping my very first bottle of Virgin Vapor...Butter Mint. GOD, this stuff is good! Didn't even bother to let it steep. (One whiff of the stuff and all self-discipline went sailing out the window..)

I did notice that the vapor was kind of thin at first, but once the juice had a few mintues to settle into my DC carto, the vapor production is great at a 50PG/50VG mix. Kinda pricey, at 20.00 for an ounce (roughly a 30 ml), but worth it! I seriously thought it was physcially impossible to get a mild throat hit with Butter Mint. Virgin Vapor proved me happily wrong! Very smooth, excellent flavor, very nice juice! (and all this on a no-big-deal standard 650 mah eGo!)

I received their "Dark Side of the Moon" liquid last Saturday. It tasted like a mix between melting plastic, and vomit. I have had flavors before that I didn't like, but I have always marked that up to personal preference. But wow. I left it open for two days, and heated it up in warm water 2 times, shaking vigorously. Been setting with the cap on since then, no change so far.

I am a big virgin vapor fan. You should take the caps off the bottles and let the acky she uses dipate out. I am sure after a week you will be really impressed. It sounds like most of what you got is not from the absolute line which means the flavors are acky based. I think acky based flavors preform better after they steep. I am interested in what you think now.

@ Picky Juicer "He loved the flavors (very potent)...." Picky, I ordered three bottles (all 100% vg) from VV as a back up to my favorite place. When I received them, they all tasted the same - like they forgot to add flavoring. I let them sit for 6-8 weeks and tried them again yesterday. Still the same - no flavor at all. Vapor production wasn't bad though. I'm considering giving them another shot now that I read your post about the flavor. I'm thinking they neglected to add flavoring.

Anyone else have an issue similar - no flavoring?

I follow this forum, reddit and Spinfuel. Everyone gave them a great send up. This is my second order and I have to agree with you. The flavors are perfumey, or soapy as you say.

I also find the flavors very thin right out of the box and one week later even after a good 4 hrs of hot shaking bath. I am going to let them age for another couple of weeks but I have very little hope of finding the robust flavors that were touted in the articles.

I understand why your bottle was cloudy. Flavors precipitate so warming and shaking are required.
