Crap juice is crap juice lol... Gotta start with good product :p

I have to agree, to a point. I picked up a bottle of juice from a very popular juice maker that had tons of rave reviews. It tasted like they mistakenly used gasoline instead of pg. It was down right horrible. It's been steeping for about a week, and I have very little hope for it.

I only order from places that don't require steeping. I sometimes hear the argument that well, when it needs steeping that means it's fresh and hasn't been sitting on a shelf for a month. But then you have to let it sit on a shelf for a month anyway to steep it, so it's no longer fresh by the time you're able to use it. LOL. So what's the difference?

The difference is if your adding flavor shots I would much prefer it added to a fresh juice made to order then an old juice.
There are great places that don't need a steep I agree
But there are viable reasons for fresh juice that needs a steep as well.

Yeah, I feel you there. I happen to like many of VirginVapors juices and I've been ordering from them regularly for a long time. But many of their flavors DEFINITELY need to steep. One of my favorites, Creme Caramel, smells and tastes of expensive vodka if it hasn't been steeped for a few days.

But then there are other vendors' juices that I've tried after hearing rave reviews and they're still sitting on the shelf after a year or three. I ordered a sample pack from one vendor in particular, who was insanely popular then & maybe still is, and the 5 or 6 juices all seemed to be close variations on the same theme, though they were described on the site as being very different. Worse yet, they all seemed to be built on a single, critical ingredient. Which must have been paraffin-soaked green apple Jolly Ranchers. Maybe it was propane or benzene and I'm getting my solvents and fuels mixed up but, ugh.

I like VV though. I stick to my favorite flavors, of which I have half a dozen or so. My throat hates PG, so the VG is great, although I'd prefer their juice to be a bit thicker, closer to Velvet Cloud's but not quite as viscous as that. As a small business owner and kinda OCD, I have a fetish about really good customer service and obvious attention to details that are important to the purchaser. My VV always arrives quickly, well-wrapped, with an invoice that's been hand-reviewed, and every item on the list checked off in pen against whats in the package. Plus, they have reasonable shipping rates with tracking provided.

There a couple things I'd like them to change or add maybe, but they do good business and treat their customers right. And I enjoy their juice. So there you go.

The other problem I have with having to steep a juice is this. OK, let's say you do let your juice sit for two months and then you find out steeping didn't help it. How are you going to return it to the vendor for a refund or exchange after two months? Somehow I doubt the vendor is going to accept your rationale that you bought some juice two months ago and have just now decided it's faulty and would like a refund. I just prefer juices that are made to vape out of the mailbox. It just cuts out all the frustration and there are plenty of vendors out there who sell stuff that doesn't require steeping and I've yet to have a juice that I'd consider 'stale' because it's been sitting on a vendor's shelf for too long.

Steeping may help with the flavor and cohesiveness of the liquid. Depending on the juice, steeping time, etc. the difference in the flavor can vary along with steeping. Crap juice is always going to be crap; this is true. My experience with virgin vapors is kind of mixed. I bought about 10 of their flavors a while back as I heard that they were a good option for 100% VG and organic juice. I liked some of the flavors however I found a couple of the to be upsettingly perfumy. I let them steep and they were about the same. There is no really clear answer. Give it a vape. If you're not happy with it let it steep and try it again. This is after all a game of trial and error. I will be honest in saying that I will probably never order from VV again.

I have to say that after trying about 30 vendors, Virgin Vapors is my favorite. I have tried over 50 of their e-liquids to date and only one did I not care for (just not my type fo flavor I discovered-personal preference). I have 6 flavors that I have on hand at all times, and another half dozen that I rotate in and out. TO me, VV has the cleanest/purest flavor I have found without any of that lingering plastic filmy after taste.

Velvet Cloud Vapors is another great vendor.

I agree with steeping, especially with VV. I absolutely LOVE their Precious Pecan Pie and have ordered it twice, and I was very impressed with Blackberry Vanilla Swirl and Kona Coffee Milkshake. With all three, right out of the box they were quite perfumy and seemed heavy on the ethyl alcohol (they do offer non-EA juice from their Absolute line). After a 2-day open air steep and a few days beyond that, they were absolutely fantastic. By the 2nd month (I have a lot of juice), they were even better. While I have another go-to vendor, I know that I will always order the pecan pie and KCM when I'm feeling a craving, and there are a few others I will throw in the cart to try out as well.

Agreed..KCM and Pecan Pie both improve with steeping. Others that I found benefit from steeping are: Best Damn Tobacco, Black Cherry Marshmellow, Carmel Kettle Corn, the coffees,(regular Virgin Line). All of the absolutes seem perfect straight out of the mail. I have such a hard time being patient with the KCM lol that its half empty within a week.

I'll have to try some of my VV juice after some time on the sidelines. For the most part they made me want to puke when I first tried them. Seems that VV flavors are quite complex and perfumy. Hope they improved over time.
