where you at in NC - western NC by chance? if so drive over to east TN - go to Johnson City - go to Kroger - go to ice cream aisle - buy many half gallons of extreme moose tracks maximum fudge - then get out of Johnson City ASAP it is the pits of utter hell - but - my favorite ice cream in America, save a few local joints in New England and, for soft serve, just down the street from me - and if clark would make a juice that tastes of that ice cream i'd die a happy happy sloth :)

Is this Moose Tracks a vanilla ice cream with fudge ripples and chunks of peanut butter cups or something like that??

no sir way better - this is chocolate ice cream (the "extreme" means chocolate instead of vanilla moose tracks) with peanut butter cups, fudge ripples, and the "maximum fudge" means, HUGE CHUNKS OF FUDGE :)

like one time, the center of a half gallon contained a chunk of fudge the size of my fist!!!

deeeeeelicious!

I haven't had the Extreme version yet, I'll get out to the store and see if Publix is carrying it yet! I love me some Moose Tracks, but Extreme sounds way better.

you can probably find it - may be called something else. like hersheys even makes one - called chocolate moose tracks, but it doesn't have the maximum fudge component. i still love it but just not as good as that particular brand. if you ever find some choco mooseys hit it up it's to die for (i also like it with vanilla so i tend to alternate - unless i'm visiting dad in JC - then i get the extreme all the way :))

Sloth, I'm in the middle of the state of NC up next to the VA border so you're talking a 6 hr drive. I could probably find extreme moose tracks maximum fudge ice cream at Kroger in Durham which is only 35 mins a away. Either of those would be preferable to standing on the street corner because it's cold outside!

sorry sloth didnt know north carolina had kroger too...the ice cream is krogerr brand :) hit it up worth the drive to durham!

Sloth, aren't you a vegan? If so this confessional now negates your vegan card....go stand over there with the lacto-ovo vegetarians...:glare:

(They have all the best moose tracks....sssshhhhhh....)

no sloth is vegetarian would certainly prefer to be vegan by ethics but the problem is dairy has always been an addiction for sloth. over half gallon a day addiction for long time. NT has made it possible to drop from daily ice cream to a little bit here and there few times a month. cheese consumption with meals has dropped and one day in near future sloth hopes to be mostly-transitioning-into-full-time vegan and thanks will go to nt for making it possible :)
