Viscosity of E-Juice

Yet another noob here, asking a question I can't find any posts regarding... I have an eGo-C battery that I've hooked up to one of the new c5 rebuildable cartomizers (they're calling it a Saturn v4, but I've seen it listed on other sites as a Stardust, etc). The local vendor I purchased it from also makes and sells her own e-juice, but she cautions that some of her e-juices simply won't work in those types of cartomizers (c1-5). I'm wondering if anyone else has this issue, and if it is related to the viscosity of the e-juice and its ability to stay in the tanks without leaking...





It seems that a lot of e-juice varies in how thick it is--it can be syrupy or it can be watery... I can see why the e-juice that is more runny might potentially leak out of a tank that isn't sealed as tightly at a much faster rate that a syrupy e-juice.

But is there a potential reason I'm missing? Has anyone else experienced this? I'm hesitant to order e-juice from another online vendor and then discover it's not compatible with the setup I've got... And I'd rather not make a mess finding out and waste a bunch of juice...

Ejuice viscosity depends on the ratio of PG to VG, VG having more viscosity then PG
A lot of vendors allow You to chose the ratio You want, PG will have more of a throat hit, and VG produce more flavor.
It is also said that PG carries the flavor a little better then VG

Sorry I can't help you match juice to that clearomizer. Honestly, I tend to love a certain flavor and match my flavor to the correct clearomizer. I've never had a lot of luck with those but maybe some have. I love the Vivi Novas mostly and they rarely leak and when they do leak, it's only after the coil is getting rather old.

Probably more likely that they are cinnamon or citrus. They will crack the tank.

Interestingly, she says the flavors won't work with Novas either! Hmmm...

And it seems there's no rhyme nor reason to the specific flavor choices not working--I can't find an aspect that correlates them together... They're Cool Ice and Fire & Ice (2 of her menthols), her cola flavors won't work, and neither will a few (but not all) of her fruit flavors and not all of them are specifically citrus... She makes over 60 different flavors of eLiquids...

But she also makes all of her liquids in both VG and PG/VG versions, in varying mg's of nicotine (of course). You can select which type you'd want, regardless of the flavoring, so it can't be the type of liquid, I don't think...

I just can't figure it out. Has anyone else had problems with certain juices in these kinds of cartomizers?

I have the same clearomizer and I was given some thick commercial juice by friend it worked but hard to draw . Then he gave me some dyi that was consederablly thinner both work no leaks but thedraw waseasier with the dyi and more enjoyable but I've only been vqping for a week but I did xut out analogs completly already

Fire and ice seems that it would be a cinnamon flavor...... ? I do know that the plastic tanks have problems cracking with the cinnamon flavor and the citruses.... (good luck!! And welcome to the wonderful & at times a bit confusing world of vaping!)

Maybe try some different juices. Most should work fine in clearos. If you google it, there's a couple lists floating around of flavors sometimes known to crack plastic tanks/clearos. Soo far all juices I've used work fine in my Vivi's.
