I know that one vendor was beginning to play with something they were calling PG3, claiming it would be a game changer, then he claimed that his supplier refused to supply him because he was against vaping. Who knows if any of it is true, the vendor is a total, complete, flake and will come up with any excuse as to why he takes 3 to 6 months to fulfill a small order...

That's about all I've heard of other carriers. I know chloroform can be used as a carrier/diluting agent, but, I get the feeling that would be frowned upon.

Some vendors tried using PEG, polyethylene glycol, a few years ago. The problem with PEG is that there are lots of different types. Some are safe to use, others aren't. There's typically a number that follows the PEG designation (ie, PEG 400, PEG 2000, etc.) which indicates its molecular weight. If you're considering mixing your own juice with PEG, or buying premixed, make sure you know which one it is and do your research before vaping it.

Has anyone had experience with e juice made with other vehicles. Propylene glycol can be rendered at various molecular weights and viscosity. Vegetable glycerin being a natural product has great variance in quality and purity. Has anything else been tried?
The best grade of "VG" is Glycerin USP. There is practically zero quality and purity variation to be found with Glycerine USP. Same goes for Propylene Glycol USP.

Of course I'm talking about factory sealed containers of USP product which is batch numbered and has an expiration date on every container. Buying VG from someone who is filling milk jugs with VG from a 55-gallon drum in his garage isn't the same.

Usp grade means it meets the standard set up by the united state pharmocpia. The usp standards are approved by the FDA and reviewed every 5 years or so. Glycerin usp may be vegitable or tallow as long as it meets the standard. Tallow is animal by product consisting mostly of fat, tendons and connective tissues.

Animal products make everything better. Every single thing is better with little bits of animal.. unless you're a vegetarian or vegan.

Thanks for the description DrJohn...but wow! Yuck. Nice to know we might be vaping some animal tendons! LOL
