viscosity of juice

fairly new here. just found the forum. I have been ordering sample packs of juice from almost every ad I can find. Why do some juices seem to be thicker than others? For lack of knowledge I have been trying to stick with a 50/50 blend. I just got some juice from Liberty that seems to flow like water, (burnt off pretty quick also), others seem thicker and seem to last for hours. I feel like I should apologize to the "real" men out there but I really enjoy the sweet and fruity stuff.

I think it has something to do with the raw materials each brand uses, I noticed that copper creek is pretty thick compared to others of a same vg/pg content. Pg is very thin almost liek water but vg is very thick, as you change the ratios of each the juice can become thinner or thicker, I seem to think a 20/80 pg/vg mix is perfect, it seems to wick well and it provides massive amounts of vapor and the flavor is a little stronger than all vg

I have wondered this as well. I just recieved two different flavors from the same maker and one is a lot thicker than the other and yet they are both supposed to be 50/50. Meh who knows

Also different juices may be dilluted with water or alcohal at different percentages. I say this because I diy here and there and I would never be able to use all vg its just too thick to be able to wick well. So I dillute my mixture with distilled water at 8% or so. Also most flavors that I have seen are pg so if the flavor content is higher on one juice than another that could also throw off how thick one juice is to another of equal ratios.

It also depends on what they add to color/flavor it. I noticed that my cherry juice 100%pg was thicker than my 80/20 watermelon blend.

From what I understand (being new to all this as well) is that VG based juices are thicker and produce more vapor, while PG based juices give more flavor and throat hit and won't flood your cartos as easily.

I agree with what Jimmyhat said about juice viscosity being dependent on more than just pg/vg content. Water and alcohol will really thin a juice out and it doesn't take much at all.
