I have been vapin for about six months and love it! I just switched to stainless a steel wick atomizer and have to say WOW! what a difference! I love it and the flavor it produces! My local vape store "Vapin in the Cape" gave a free genisis style atomizer at a free vapin class and now I want to invest in a good one. any recommendations? The DID or AC9 looks nice, but there are so many to choose from. any help?

the ac9 is perpetually out of stock and the DID comes and goes. the deciding factor will ultimately come down to wick limits, some like the ac9 can only do 1 wick while others can dual wick. and air draw, some of them are very airy, some are tight. with some skill you can always drill a tight on a little looser but you cant tighten up an airy one without investing in a blank cap to drill yourself.

My fave and my all day vape is in a Siam mods cobra, I have a 3ml 1wick a 3ml-2wick & a5ml 1 wick - titanium body with pyrex glass from phiniac. nice tight draw sort of like a tight carto.

I also recently acquired a DID gemini to play with

I did not care for the concept of a plastic well, not an outer tank, a complete encased well inside the ac9, it instantly means juice choices are limited and if the well itself breaks and they are out of stock, your stuck, whereas many of the others have more then one place to get a plastic or glass tube, and many come with a steel tube, but i like the see through tanks. some models like the DID come with both steel or clear tanks.
cobra's are usually around or in stock
i see the bliSS is in stock (sweet sweet looking kit)
line v2 is sweet but kinda smaller tank

and lots of others , most of the difference is aesthetics and air draw, as they all work under the same concept basically

get your posts up, get verified and then cruize the classifieds, theres always a deal floating around...........................

Well for cheaper options I like the AGA-T....really nice bang for your buck when it comes to gennies....I've been rocking this setup lately though:

Which would be my sigueli Zmax paired up with the legendary Z-atty pro....I'm loving it.

I never gave a thought about the plastic tank on the AC9, good catch! The big reasons I want a different atty is first I've become a vapin "geek"... :) u Second is the tank on my current one is stainless steel and I can't see the fluid level (just bugs me) Third the tank is only about 2 ml's and vapin at 5.5 volts with 1.1 ohms of resistance I burn the tank in no time! Fourth is the top cap is threaded, and the vent hole is not properly lined up with the wick, I have to partially unscrew the cap to line it up just right, causing it to fall off often and also leaks air if it's not just right. Fifth the wick hole is tiny preventing me from running a dual wick of any sort.

Looking at my options out there, I'm keeping in mind these issues to select the correct one. Even with these problems, I'll never go back to the vision or wickus again! Even my vivi tank just can’t compare.

I 've been eyeing up the iHybrid, looks like a beast for sure! I'm allitle concerned with it not being variable voltage tho, anyone else have an issue with that? I guess you just play with the coil to change the resistance to control the watts? Any opinions?

Thanks for the help so far ECF! Vapin and this community rocks and I'm proud to be a part of it!

yea usually on a hybrid you tune the coil to a sweet spot one trick i have seen is overwinding the coil, and if too cool unwrap one twist and try again.. i do not know which ones can use a kick.

most of the steel tank geni's have or you can find windows, the threaded cap/airhole problem is also why i have avoided many versions, to be fair some of the higher end ones have been drilled correctly so it lines up right. but i prefer the o-rings for true adjustability.

I was waiting for the Zatty like elm shows - so i got a cobra off the classifieds in the meantime and fell in love with it, then got the 5 ml version and its my all day through work tank. and most of the higher end stuff like DID does have clear tanks available. heck theres a z atty pro for sale now, they have 4ml tanks, and surgical stainless.

seriously get into the classifieds, take names, and look them up - thats how i started finding out about the higher end stuff and where its sold.

just bring a napkin when browsing cause you start drooling over some of that gear lol

the iHybrid is one of the most sought-after mods for a reason, it is fully mechanical, which means there is no amp limitation on the switch like most VV mods, you get pure battery power....the issue here is that batteries have amp limitations....AW batteries have about a ten amp limitation, the MNKE batteries are even higher. with a 20 amp continuous usage rating, with a pulse rating of 60 amps.....THESE are the batteries to use if you want insane amounts of wattage on a mechanical mod.

to do it, you need 28 gauge kanthal with a 3/4 wrap around the wick, giving you about .6 ohms, which will put you right at 22 watts of face melting power.

there are some guys that have wrapped .3 ohm coils, which give right at 45.6 watts....which is ~12 amps if my math is correct....

the potential with genesis attys is incredible, you just have to get a multimeter and make sure you don't short, and do the math twice to make sure you are getting within the proper amp range of your batteries

actually....implant grade stainless, even more hypoallergenic than surgical grade....quite frankly it is worth every penny, only thing is you have to get used to the draw....its incredibly airy
