I couldn't find unbleached cotton yarn at Michael's, so went to Rite Aid and bought
.
I found it hard to work with that cotton, though if I got a wick out of it, it seems to last a long time.
I then hijacked a few cotton makeup applicator pads from my girlfriend. Like these:

They have worked well...perfect length, not much trimming needed. I cut a strip, peel it in half, roll up the end, and thread it through a cleaned / dry burned / rinsed coil. Gently pull the wick through...fluff it out, trim. They seem to last about two or three days. Maybe 6 tank fulls, or so, before the flavor goes. So cheap and easy to do, that I just swap out at the first sign of the wick going.
The flavor / vapor / TH with cotton, and this setup, is very close to dripping.
I may have to rewick a clearo tonight. If so, I'll take some pics and post up my how-to, so I can share how I rewick without having to recoil
