Ok so I got one of these the other day and filled it up and started using it on my vision spinner. But I noticed that my it kept leaking all down the center of my battery. Then I think I figured out what I was doing wrong. These have the long wicks but I was doing the tipping like I seen in the youtube videos.

I think I was just flooding my center tube every time I did this cause once I stopped doing it I had no more leaking problems.

So my question is if you have the long wick version is the tipping necessary cause so far I have had no dry hits.

Thanks!

Also this is 2.1 to 2.4 ohm so what is the best voltage to use with these? I dont want to burn it up.

I use the same long-wicked clearomizers on my 1300mah spinner. the only thing I've noticed is an occasional leak but it gets on the OUTSIDE of the drip tip. Not sure how this happens. It's not from the "tipping" method because I haven't had to do that with these ones. Maybe it's a design flaw. I've noticed that the clear rubber o-ring that sits below the threads on the drip tip easily moves out of place. So I stopped tightening the drip tip as much as I was and no leaks since! As for the voltage to use, here's a chart that helps: Great Chart for volts/ohms - Ecig-World-Forum as long as you stay in the green area, you'll be fine. After that, it's just a matter of taste. I've been rockin my clearomizers at around 4.2-4.3v, unless I use a tobacco flavor. They seem to taste a little burny up there, so I dial it down to about 3.8v. Hope this helps!!

When I go to fill them up I only fill to the 1.2 ml line but I still have a problem with it leaking onto my battery post. What am I doing wrong? Is there a certain way that you're supposed to put the drip tip on or something? I though I had the problem solved by not tipping it but as soon as I refilled it again it started to do it again.

Hi cocacola, Are you allowing liquid to enter the center tube "spike" when you fill. That "air tube" goes down to the top of your battery. You said you have long wicks, so there is no need to tip it. Try to keep it upright. How much liquid are you getting? A drop? Be sure to clean it off your battery and check the battery for liquid often.

Blowing into it will cause it to leak, esp. if these are the V3 (rebuildable) kind. They draw juice into the coil when you inhale...but blow the other direction, juice will be forced out of the clearo and into the center tube. It's not just capillary action feedings the coils. You could clear a whole clearo that way.

I'm sure it's something to do w/ vacuum and pressure, how they're designed to work. Work differently than cartos, which generally can be blown out to clear a flood. If I have a little bit of a gurgle when I refill, I resist the urge to blow it out..instead I up the voltage for a few puffs...clear out the excess juice that way (prepare for some intense hits)...then lower the voltage. Seems to clear up. I also resist the urge to give it a few sharp inhales...that just draws more juice into it and doesn't help clear the excess.

So...if you flood it, and keep doing blowing and flooding it more so, some will work its way into the tube if you keep inhaling / exhaling harder than normal into drip tip.

I've found that once they're flooded, they tend to keep doing it until a tear down / rinse / rebuild. Not sure why.

Did all that...still leaking onto the battery....could I be putting the drip tip in wrong? I usually sit it all the way in there and then screw it down. How do you know if you are getting a seal by looking at it? It looks line up with the cover but that must be how liquid keeps getting in the tube!

I love this thing when its working, which it stops leaking at the 0.4 ml mark but that means constant refilling.

Sometimes, the center post drops down a bit. Next time you have it apart, find something small enough to put into the battery end of the center post and give it a light tap or three with a rubber handled screwdriver of if worse comes to worse, a small hammer. Not too much, just light tap it. It worked on mine.

By apart, I mean leave the tube on, but take the head and tip off.

Also be careful when you fill it. I'm not sure if you're using a syringe to fill it or just filling directly from a squeeze bottle. I can't stand using syringes and if you push the bottle tip too far in, you can move the entire center post off-center. Then, when you screw in the black drip tip, the top of that center post sits a little off-center. That can allow a little juice to sneak in between the top of the post and the bottom of the drip tip, which in turn ends up in your mouth. I had that problem but it's a very simple fix. Just gently move the center post back to the middle and the leaking will stop.

I think I might have found the main problem. Im used to using cartomizers and I think I was drawing too hard on this. Once I lighten it up a lot the leaking seemed to lessen a lot. Would that affect it?

That's what happens with me. One or two hard draws w/o the button pushed, it'll gurgle. Even with, sometimes. I never have issues with wicking.

Yeah, so I started fiddling with mine when I was ready to throw it out because of the flooding (burbling). I found that the top wick (there are two nested in there) just floats in there (no coil). So it wicks up juice but doesn't vaporize it efficiently. I just pulled it out with a sharp pair of tweezers and haven't had any trouble since. Easy fix, perfect results.
