I got a whole bunch of Vision Nano's from Health Cabin for my Joye510. They were so cheap I bought a mega bunch, lol. Anyway, I can't use them, because the couple I have tried give off such a strong burnt plastic taste it hurts my throat ( and tastes so bad I wanna hurl). Anyone else run into this? I'm really bummed I have so many and can't even use them :(

It sounds like you didn't prime them well enough the first time. The Nano has polyfill inside like a cartomizer that has to be totally saturated with juice before you fire the coil the first time or it will burn.

Try this. After you fill a new Nano with juice, put your finger over the end that would connect to the battery and take a couple of long hard draws. This helps pull juice into the polyfill. Then set the Nano aside to soak for a half hour or so. After this, it should work fine.

Hope this helps

Thank you so much for the advice! I will try this and cross my fingers! I use the Halo mini tanks all the time with my 808's and they have never had a bad taste, so I was really bummed about the Nanos.

If you end up liking the Nano and want some for your 808 batteries, Smokeless Image sells them. Personally, I like mini tank better on cig-a-like size batteries. They are the 808 version of the Kanger T4.

I actually do have the 808 clearos, and I love them. I couldn't even fathom using a carto after using the clearos.

With respect, stop giving china money for plastic crap. When I first came around these parts a year ago, this Clearo sub-forum was FILLED with threads similar to this. 'How to get rid of burning rubber taste?' 'Plastic taste?' Etc etc etc. There are much better options now. Get a Protank 2 or Mini Protank 2 v2. If you really want to never inhale plastic or rubber fumes again, check out the Kayfun or its clone the Russian. Whatever you do, stop giving China the impression they should keep making plastic crap.

In the short term, smoking a cigarette is probably healthier than literally inhaling burning plastic. I actually went back to smoking for a few months until the Protank 2 came out. Smoke plastic? No way.

The fix? Another product. Seriously. I dunno about anyone else, but I spent $200/month on a pack a day. Less when I switched to rolling, but I still wasted a lot on $30 bags I didn't like. I'm not trying to bash you so please don't take it that way. I just hate to see anyone having this problem since there are better clearos now. Just my :2c:

Hi Amy,
probably like the others said, the nano is a bit slow absorbing fluid at first...

I kinda like the NANO too, but hate throw aways
then I found these, sorta cheapos but they really work good and rebuildable
same size as a nano just square and the top pops off to fill and screw new coil/wick in

- New ! 5pc Innokin iClear 10S changeable Dual Coil Clearomizer (Cubical Shape) [03-I-2-2] - $15.99 : Healthcabin Electronic Cigarettes - Wholesale and Retail
- New ! 5pc Replacement Dual Coils for Innokin iClear 10S Clearomizer [03-I-2-1] - $7.89 : Healthcabin Electronic Cigarettes - Wholesale and Retail
- Innokin iClear10S Dual Coil Clearomizer
- Innokin iClear10 Dual Coil Clearomizer replacement wick & coil

good luck,:) hope it works out

Well, for what it's worth, I won't be buying from China again, simply because I don't like waiting a month for shipping and now I know where to get the same stuff reasonably priced from the U.S.
None of the plastic tanks for my 808's have tasted like plastic, I get great flavor from them (all bought from Halo or SI).

As for Protanks, they just aren't my thing. I'm happy with my cig-a-likes, I just had a really bad experience with these particular clearo's.

Whatever happens, there's no risk of going back to smoking, I haven't had an analog in almost FOUR YEARS :toast:

And I didn't feel bashed at all, I welcome everyones input!! :)

I wish I knew. Again, I really wanted the Nano to work for me. After some research the problem seems widespread and many solutions are offered to combat this issue. However, none of them worked, and quite frankly, the product should work without all the hassle.

May be the juice is eating away at the tube? There are many that do, and not all "poly" is the same mix... so your other toppers may not succumb to it, and the Nano does? :2c:
