So, as I'm sure other people have noticed as well, the plugs for the Visions are not all the same. I've tried Regular, Nano, and Micro Stretch. The plug in the Regular is different than that in the Nano and Micro Stretch. I've used my fabulous skills with MS Paint to demonstrate:

Now, I haven't tried the Mini, Giant, or Grande, so it would be great if someone could let me know what style the plugs are on those.

On the one hand, the Nano/Micro Stretch is super easy to fill, I don't even need a syringe, whereas I do need a syringe to fill the Regular, but it's still way easier than filling a Flux. On the other hand, I've had trouble with the Nano/Micro Stretch getting juice in the mouthpiece, as well as a little leaking, but I haven't had any issues with the Regular. I assume this is due to the plug differences. Is there any reason why the plugs are different? I would love to see the Nano/Micro Stretch with the other plug style because they look so much nicer with my stick style battery than the Regular does.

I did notice the inside of the mouthpiece is a little different on the Regular, which could be responsible for preventing juice from getting into it, but I think the plug difference is the more likely culprit here.

Has anyone else had this same experience? Or have any other theories regarding the leaking/juice in mouthpiece?

Yes, I see what you mean.

The mini, giant and the stone currently all use the same plug. They are shaped the same only a bit bigger than the regular. The Grande has a totally different plug altogether because it has a different wick system. Four wicks instead of two (or two instead of one, depending on how you look at it. The minis and giants I never needed a needle to fill, a dropper bottle works fine, I still prefer a luer lock bottle, but that is preference not need.

As for the micro vs regular, that is definitely because of the plug, but I think there isn't room for more plug on those. If you made the plug bigger it would be harder to fill. Every now and again I find a micro stretch plug and/or mouth piece that just seems to seal better than the rest, so I make sure to keep that one.

i personally did not have great luck with the micro stretch. but the seal gave me an idea.
i take my vision regular seals and i sand the sides down so that it looks like a micro seal with the flat sides.
no more trapped air in the vision reg super easy fill and i never have any leaks. i use a stingray auto on a lanyard and its constantly upside down and all over the place with no leaks.
i haven't tried it on a big vision yet - only got one in rotation right now and im not sure it needs it lol
