Hi I have a Vision Spinner 1300. I have had it for a while and it has been great. My question is last night I put it on a charger and this morning the charger was still flashing green/red. The other spinner I plugged in had the charger turned green. Should I throw this battery away? Did it charge alll night and is now overcharged? If I put it on a charger now the charger turns green, the battery flashes a bunch of times and the charger goes back to green red flashing.

Is it possible the battery is not charging all the way or that the battery is messed up and the charger cannot recognize that the battery is fully charged? I charged another battery on the charger and it worked fine so I know it is not the charger.

Thanks for any answers.

It is possible that the 510 has some still-moist juice in it that is messing up the ability to charge. I have cleaned out 510 connectors with a bristle brush and 91% Isopropyl Alcohol. 91% is the best, but you may use lesser. Just don't use anything with Wintergreen in it. You may also use Everclear (PGA).

This is an example of the brush . . .

They come in different sizes. I use the thinner shaft. It's about 1/4 inch. I cut the bristles so they are a little longer than the depth of the inside of the 510. Too long and they will just twist inside as you spin the brush, not reaching to the bottom.

You may see dried juice on the 510 Plus, or down inside. You can scrape this off first with an X-Acto blade or fine tip jeweler's screwdriver, and blow it out. Lightly moisten the brush with Alcohol and clean out the 510 inside. Don't flood the Battery with Alcohol (some 510s are vented). Let it dry very well before attempting to charge again. If it does the same thing again, it is probably bad.

A Li-Ion Battery is said to have an average Charge/Discharge life of 300 cycles. Some go for much more. You can gauge what you think may think the number of times the Battery has been recharged against this.

Good Luck. :)
