Seasons Greetings!

I just picked up a Vision Spinner 1300mA battery and the rated 420mA USB charger to go with it from a local shop that is just new to selling juice and some supplies. Looking for a nice form factor VV battery to go with my kayfun Mini 2.1 and this seems to do the trick.

The problem I have is it allowed me to vape for a few hours after charging it and now it will randomly give a 3 blink flash of the light and stop firing while vaping. The mini is the only device I have used on it and it does not leak at all. The build I have on my mini is 1.3 ohms and I am wondering if this is too low of a build or is there something wrong with this battery.

Is the build to low of ohms or should I just take the Spinner back?

Much Thanks!

I am not 100% sure, but I know my spinner has a 10 second cutoff that will stop the device firing for longer - are you sure you are not bumping this limit?

A 1.3ohm build is on the low side for that battery I suppose, but it should be capable of firing it and not doing any damage to it. I know most Ego type batteries are recommended for builds 1.8 ohms and higher.

Also the spinner has a center post (right in the center of where you screw the tank in) that often presses down into the top of the battery and can cause connection issues. There is a rubber washer under this post and if it's pushed down (like if you screw a tank down too hard) it will crush it and the battery will not fire. You can often lift the center post up a smidge with a small screwdriver or paperclip and it will work.

I am not sure this is happening in your case as when it does, the battery usually won't fire at all, but I thought it worth mentioning.

If in any doubts, I would take it back to where you bought it. Most vape places have a very limited window for warranty and returns, so maybe go talk to them and see if it's functioning correctly before messing with it too much.

Finally, the Spinners are decent batteries. I have 2 1300mAh Spinners that I bought when I first started vaping and both still work. You just have to be gentle with them.

Do yourself a favor if you decide to return it or upgrade, which I suspect you likely will in the near future. Pick up an itaste mvp or an eleaf istick. You won't have any regrets about doing so and they are only marginally more expensive than a spinner. You'll get more options and twice the battery life with usb charging.

I second this....
I'm not sure either but I don't think 1.3 is recommended for spinners...lowest i'd say would maybe be 1.5 but that might even be too low...1.8 would be best or 2

but for roughly the same price yes you can get you an MVP v2 and you won't be disappointed...
or an istick which does everything the mvp does but at about half the size and a little less battery life
mvp = 2600mAh (if memory serves)
istick = 2200mAh

mvp is about the size of a pack of cigarettes
istick is about the size of a bic lighter

mvp has both ego and 510 threading
istick only has the 510 threading but you can buy a 510/ego adapter (which I highly suggest for any mod anyways as they help prevent the threads on the mod stripping and if you happen to have a leaky tank, it'll fill the adapter before it gets to the battery so a bit of added protection)

so just to give you a size comparison...

Size comparisons : orange 650 ego spinner with et dripper and orange viv nova tank for decoration black istick with ce4(I think), orange mvp v2 with orange aurora bft, blue istick, mini protank 2, pinkish istick, VMOD xl, 15 ml glass bottle, silver istick with et dripper!

Much thanks all for the advice everyone!
:toast:

I already have a WeeLeaf driving my 3.1ES, I just wanted a nice looking "stick" type battery for the 2.1.

I had rebuilt it to 2 ohms with some KGD cotton, there is not a lot of room on that deck for a higher ohm build with 28g and I didn't really like the way it vaped. So I tore it apart again this morning and rebuilt it to 1.7 ohm with Rayon, now it is back to vaping like a champ. Excellent flavour, a fully acceptable cloud and the flashing is gone.

Rayon can't be beat for a nice easy to work with wick!

I'll pass on the MVP. The WeeLeaf is great but it always fires at a pulsed 5V with no step down capability, which is acceptable for the Kayfun builds above 1 ohm. I might possibly pick up a Cloudpor Mini as it would be head and tails above the iStick or MVP will all its features.

How does one post bigger pictures?
