Brand new battery and when i screw it on the charger the light on the battery flashes 5 times and the charger light stays on green

normally i receive them fully charged, but this one won't turn on or off. i have never seen one do this before. Now i have two that won't work properly. Is this what i get for ordering from China ?

Could be. They make those things by the millions, and manufacturing defects happen. I have gotten a bad one before.

i guess that is it, i just keep thinking there is something i can do to correct it or there is some thing i need to do to make it work

The one I had would show a green light if it was turned off when I plugged it in. Plug it back up to the charger, then try to turn it on. It may take a few tries.

Is this an eGo? You're less likely to get junk if you pay a little more. I paid $25 for my joyetech and they're even cheaper now, but one of the best in quality.
Mine have lasted 2 years, used up to twice a day.
innokin's VV3 is a nice ego type that has all the modern functions.

Hans, I have tried everything many times, still the same the battery button light flashes five times stops, then flashes five time and repeats this all day. I was just wondering if any one else has had a problem like this

What kind of atty are you using and @ what OHMs?

If it flashes 5 times, it's turning itself on or off. It flashes I think 10 times?... when you plug it in to charge. If it's completely dead it can be a serious PITA to get it to start charging since it has to turn on 1st. The only advice I can offer is make sure it's screwed in to the charger tight, but not too tight and keep pressing the button 5 times to try to turn it on. Leave it on the charger and unplug it from the wall and plug it back in every couple of tries. Eventually it should work. If it doesn't, your charger might be busted.

Or you may have gotten a dud battery. From what I hear about 1 of every thousand or so of them is crap right out of the box. You can try to return it if the seller will take it back.

Vision spinner 2 , yeah seller is from china, returns are about impossible, charger works fine on all others, battery and charger indicate the battery is charged, but it just flashes five times pauses and then flashes five times, forever it goes on. Has anyone ever taken one apart to see what is inside ?

It's not worth taking it apart. There's a battery, a small board and a few wires. Unless you can wire a circuit board yourself, there's nothing in there you will understand.
