Vision spinner 2?

I've had three Vision Spinner 2's (two black and one blue) for about three months now, and love them, except for the fact that the paint has started to peel off on each one. I always use a stand for them, and never put them anywhere near keys or anything, so I'm a little disappointed from a cosmetic point of view. My original one-year-old Spinners (black) have a rubberised coating, and are still in perfect condition. The Spinner 2's aren't chipped too much, but I imagine it will just get worse :(

I don't know if you can get it in the UK, but look for a product called "Plasti Dip" you can get it in a spray can... it's some kind of rubber/plastic spray paint. It works pretty well for recoating various things... and if you don't like it, it peels off without too much trouble.

Thanks Kaezziel. Just had a look on Amazon and it's about £15 for a can, almost as much as the battery, lol! I think I'll give it a go when the chipping's got worse, as it will save me having to scrape off the paint to apply it. I'm curious to know it any other V2's are exhibiting this problem. Like I said, all mine are gradually peeling!

I love my Spinner II! I go back and forth between it and my MVP 2.0. There are times that I just seem to get better flavor out of my Spinner, for some reason. Probably in my head. Unfortunately, I broke the spinner off my Spinner when I slid down a rock backpacking in NM - I can't change the voltage but it's still working great at the voltage it was set on when I broke the spinner off! LOL! I got one for my wife and she loves it. There are sure times when the smaller form factor, and lighter weight, is a lot more convenient than my MVP. I wouldn't give either one up. I don't think your buddy is doing wrong by starting with the Spinner. He may end up upgrading to an MVP or something else but that doesn't mean the Spinner will be useless! Different situations call for different setups.

It's kind of funny how some people seem to act like there's only a need for ONE setup - whatever they deem "Best!" Unless you're a couch potato vaper, living on your parents couch and swapping between your X-Box one your computer, I don't see how ANY one setup is "perfect?" I like variety and being able to switch things up. When I'm in a business meeting I may prefer one setup and if I'm guiding clients I might want another, and if I'm vegging in front of a TV after the kids go to sleep, I may want to cloud chase.

I've had quite a few eGo style batteries over the years... most of them would start to peel or chip at some point in time... I usually just stripped them down to the bare steel tube once they started...

Not the first time have a read a similar observation. In fact, I have noticed it too. My bet is the Spinners have a very smooth volt regulation compared to some others.

Seams that there are always compromises in what ever we do, in my opinion the VS 2 is a good one. Wish they made one with a removable Batt.

I guess that 1600mah battery increased the price. I started on the 1100mah and both of them are still going strong. I now, also, have a couple of MVP2s that have more features/conveniences.

With the similarity in price, MVP2.

I do have to say that other than the small size, I am not sure what the Eleaf iStick has over the MVP2.

Love my spinner - works well. I use it when I need a nice small form factor on the go. Use mine with an Aspire K1 and 1.6 ohm BVC coil. Flavour and Vapor production are fantastic for a small mod.

I also have an MVP2, but it gets less use due to size and weight.

I've since picked up a new 2600mah VV (4.8v) clone from Canvape here in Canada. I doubt it's truly 2600mah.. But it does last quite a bit longer than the Spinner, and costs roughly the same. It's a bit wider, but the benefit is that it matches up perfectly with an Aspire Nautilus Mini. Great for extended trips out of the house when I don't want a mech, Provari or box mod.

Cheers
