Vision Spinner 3 coil not contacting

Hi, new member here obviously,
I have 3 limited editions of the above. All three have trouble with the coil making contact with the battery. What happens is that it ends up flooding the contact area and I have to keep cleaning it out. At first this didn't happen and now I can't even use them. Does anyone else have this problem with the Gold limited edition of the Vision spinner 3 with protank 2? If so, help?
Thanks.

Hi @Marianna53. If the tank is flooding the contact area of the battery the most probable cause is a coil not firmly seated in the tank. The second "possible" issue would be a really bad set of coils. The third issue that comes to mind is that the eGo style batteries sometimes have a center pin issue (but this wouldn't cause juice to collect in the area you mentioned) where the tank has been screwed on too tightly and the 510 pin in the eGo gets depressed and then tanks will not work on them.

Search Results for Query: eGo depressed pin | E-Cigarette Forum
Frustrated with ego-c twist | E-Cigarette Forum <--shows how to correct the 510 pin issue IF that is part of the problem.

Good luck in your search.

Bump for answer.

I had/hated the PT2, for several reasons including this one. It's a bad design in my opinion and all the protanks share it. Every time you puff on it you leave a lil' condensation on the inside of the draw tube. As it cools, this collects and gravity pulls it downward and the tube is open on the bottom end where it makes contact with the battery. I was cleaning the cntacts 2 or 3 times on every tank full (and I was going through 4 or 5 refills a day). It got to be a huge pita so I upgraded.

What it looks like to me is that insert where the coil should meet the battery looks too deep. I get no vapor at all. I don't hear the coil firing, when I do it's like a pop then nothing. I'll try the next unopened box of coils I have and see it that's the problem. They're Kanger coils.

IN that case it could well be not making good contact. Check the links above.
