I have bought a Vision Spinner II at a local shop, got it in box with that authenticity thingamagiger. Works great, but definitely looks like the red one (Top burnished ring approximately the same height as the Ego threads, as opposed to thicker on the black one, and my writing includes the more italicized looking "I" like the red one as well)

Went to their website and compared. Their pictures look like the red one. Nothing they have looks like the black fake.

Sorry for my late reply, but thank you very much.. It turned out that both of the 1300 map perform like in last longer than the later purchased Vision Spinner V2 1650 mah, before I must recharge. And the V2 are genuine for sure. Came with a security number. And it matched.. Not at all pleased with the V2.. Gonna go for a box mod soon Maybe a MVP 2.0.

Clone or Authentic, if you're a brand B*ˆ* you'll get in panic but the only way to know if it's a bad product or not is by electronic tests. Not every clone is distinguishable.
I, personally, don't care if it's a copy as long it is a good copy and gives the same performance as the original.

How can you tell if a clone made by an unknown company is as good as the original? Would it bother you if it exploded? If it is a cheap knockoff what do you know about the quality of the battery inside?

I'm in this boat too... Looking for an authentic Spinner v2 but am now all panicked I'll get a clone... grrrr My buddy ordered one from eBay, swears it real, but took a month from a Chinese seller.
Is it really worth the money paying more from another site other then eBay?

So the black one is a real one? The 'CE' icon is not authentic EC/Conformité Européenne, a safety standard for European products/products used in Europe. It's the china fake CE logo, which looks similar, but for the real CE marking, if you turn the 'C' 180 degrees, it should form a ring which connects with the right side of the 'E' and overlaps, whereas the China logo is similar, but the spacing of the C and E is different, they are closer to eachother than in the safety marking 'CE'/EC.

Edit: the CE logo on both of the batteries isn't a china exports logo, but a fake EC logo used by mostly chinese manufacturers

I always get the ones with scratch codes . This way you can be sure it's genuine. The genuine ones come with the scratch codes anyway. I try and buy from a reputable vape store as well. I do have my clones but I bought them as clones. Then I have my real products which always have a scratch code for verification.

As a quick note -- it is not unheard of for:

1. Clone boxes to have scratch-codes that lead to nowhere.

2. Boxes with real scratch codes to have the authentics removed and clones/counterfeits put in, where there's no way it could be the real product. I chalked this up to some random ebay stories until I had it happen with sun-vapers.

I have spent some time researching Vision Spinner II because I like them and am looking to get one as a back up to the MVP 20w I'll be buying soon and from what I've found and what I see in his picture the black is a fake and the way to tell, is fakes have the voltage numbers are higher up from the base like it states in this pic which is straight from Visions site

I plan on buying a Vision Spinner II clone for my wife from VPRO City once they get purple back in stock. While they don't say is a clone but its obvious it is from the color of the base and neck, the height of the voltage numbers to the tried color button led, so I know what I'm buying and with a 3 month warranty and price I'll take the risk...

Why you all bother anyway? Aspires beat up Visions anytime.
Try the Aspire cf vv 1600mah. Spotless operation, smooth charging, tough and never scratches.
I had only visions up to now but since I bought my first aspire I can't look back!

Well the cones tend to fill up with ice cream. Just save yourself the trouble and get an istick.
