My vision spinner II battery died. the lights all did what they were supposed to, but nothing would work. I read somewhere that maybe the center post got pushed down too far, and now wont make contact...and to try gently pulling it out with a tweezer...which i did,,,and it worked. Once. Then it stopped. I pulled the post out gently, and what had happened was...theres a little "o" ring around the center post, under the top, to prevent it from being pushed down too far if the tank or device is screwed on a bit too tight. That "o" ring had broken, allowing the center post to slide up and down.
I took some thin dental floss, wrapped it a few times around the post, under the top...and tied it with a tight square knot and trimmed off the ends. When i pushed it back in the hole, it was in there, didnt slide, and the floss is flexible enough to give a little should something be screwed down too hard. dont pull the post out too far....there is a wire at the other end, but there is a bit of slack to allow for the post to come out maybe 1/2".
