Earlier today I bought a 2014 Vision Spinner, my first personal vape.
It was dead when it was given to me, and the guy just showed me how to attach it to the charger and sent me on my way.
So, I got home and I plugged the USB portion of the charger into my computer, and a green light came on. I screwed the battery onto the charger, the light stayed green, and the button on the battery flashed five consecutive times before stopping and starting up again a second later.
It's been doing this for a solid three hours, with the charger light still green and the battery still blinking.
Am I doing something wrong? :(
(I'm so sorry if there's vital information missing, I know practically nothing about the world of vape.)

Fully charged? I haven't used my Spinner in a year or two but I'm pretty sure it's a red light when charging and goes green when charged maybe flashing green when fully charged.
See, I thought that was the case, but I unscrewed it and hit the button five times only to have nothing happen.
For now, my plan is to let it charge for a couple more hours and then see if there's any change.

If you hit the button five times fast, *something* should happen.
it should blink fast a few times then be either on or off.
when it's on, pressing the button should turn on the light.
when it's off, pressing the button should do nothing, unless you turn it on.

I think I've seen that behavior when charging and my battery didn't think the power supplied was correct. On the usb charger, does it say how much voltage and current it expects? Check back with the shop, see if there is a wall charger it is supposed to go with too.
It does! It reads 'Input: DC 5V' and 'Output: DC4.2V 420mA'
I tried using a wall charger as well, no luck. :(

So far, nada. I unscrewed the battery and hit the button five times fast, and there was absolutely nothing. :/

It could also be flashing because it can't find the atomizer, from a bad connection or bad coil. You could try another atomizer.
I don't think the atomizer is the issue, the battery itself gives no response to anything unless it's plugged into the charger, and even then it only flashes of its own accord, nothing I do to the button changes it.

and by the way - welcome! you are in the right place :)

try cleaning contacts on both charger and the battery... have heard of that being an issue with ego style batteries and chargers - not specifically sure what the 5 blinks error code means though
Thank you! :D
I bought it from a little shop on a boardwalk, but I assumed it would work because my brother also bought a vape (though his is from an entirely different company) and his works fine.
Rookie mistake.
I'll try cleaning it and see if there's any change!

according to what i am seeing, 5 blinks means a charge is needed - may be getting enough juice through charger to realize it needs a charge, but not enough to charge it... if you were trying to charge on computer, was it a desktop or a laptop?
Laptop, but the laptop is fully charged.
And just now I tried switching it to a wall plugin, same amount of blinks. :p
I'm pretty sure there's an issue with the charger itself, but then again I know absolutely nothing.
