Hi, first off I am new to this site and have a question. I have been vaping for about 5 months now and just got a vv battery about a month ago.

I have a stardust changeable clearomizer that is 2.4 ohms on a vision spinner battery that can go up to 4.8 volts. What is the highest voltage I can turn it up to with this without having a burnt taste?

You should be OK; 4.8V might be a little high but if it's working for you I wouldn't worry about it much.

Were you able to measure the resistance to determine that it is a 2.4Ω coil, or is that the advertised resistance? It might not be exactly 2.4Ω; if it's actually lower than that then 4.8V would likely result in a burnt taste.

I have a spinner/protank combo with a 2.5 ohm head and I find it depends on the juice I'm vaping, on a fruit one and vanilla one I have I like around 3.4-3.7, but I have a blackberry tobacco juice I vape around 4.6

Just spin the dial around and see what suits your taste the best

If you have silica wick in there and you go over, you'll only get the burnt taste for 1 or 2 hits. Oh yeah and with stock atomizer heads you might want to factor in a
+/-.2 ohm difference than the advertised resistance.

Usually they allow for some variance with the pre-built coil heads. Generally the manufacturer will tell you that they could actually be 0.2Ω higher or lower than the resistance printed on the head itself. Just something to keep in mind; the head you are using could actually be anywhere between 2.2Ω and 2.6Ω or so.

I tried 4 volts and that seems to be fine but I don't want to risk going any higher because I don't want to mess up the atomizer.

If it's silica, which I'm assuming it is, it won't fubar the atomizer , just dual up in tiny increments till ya taste burnt, then dual down a little bit till you find the sweet spot.

Alright. I dont know if this affects the resistance at all but one of my wicks fell out yesterday and I couldn't get it in so I just threw it away. It had 4 wicks but now has 3.

Like already said you adjust the voltage up or down to find your personal preference of TH flavor & vapor production.
Different flavors, nic mg, pg/vg ratio may require different V level setting to find your preference and prevent burnt taste.

I wouldn't worry about the atomizer too much, no matter what you do it may last 3 more minutes 3 hours 3 days or 3 months, always have backups then get backups for your backups.

it depends on the coil always. even prewrapped coils may have hotspots. a coil without hotspot can go for very high wattage settings with proper juice feeding.
