I went to visit my mum today. She has always hated the fact I smoke (she quit over 30 years ago and loves to tell me how easy it was to quit!). My DH had visited her yesterday to deliver Xmas cards and during the visit he had explained some things about the e-cigs.
So I visited today and after half an hour or so I asked if I could use my e-cig in the house (I've always, obviously, gone outside to smoke). She agreed I could vape indoors and neither she or the friend she shares her house with could smell anything from the ecig and they are both very sensitive to cigarette smoke.
She also thought using the verb "vape" was a great idea. It's not smoking.
