Hey peeps,

So next month I am going to the US for a couple days. Naturally with that length of time of a trip, I will be taking carry-on only.
Now, I will have an afternoon off, so I am thinking of stopping in at a store to buy some ejuice and pick up some well-regarded US juices. With carry-on I would likely only have room for 1 or 2 bottles, so I am thinking of maybe grabbing a few then mailing them to myself.

Thoughts?
Label form as essential oils, etc.

Why mail it? Just make extra room in your carry on.. That way you have it with you from purchase to consumption.

It really makes no sense to mail it home. The bottles aren't that big.

if you need extra room just wear 3 or 4 shirts and 2 pairs of underwear to make room in the bag.

1 shirt rolled up equals about 3 60 ml bottles. You could fit a lot of bottles in a carry on if you plan it right.

Carry-on liquids should be in bottles with a capacity of 100ml or less.
Total liquids and Gels allowed is 1ltr (10X100ml).
All liquids and gels in hand luggage will need to be in a clear 1ltr/quart plastic bag.
At security the liquids bag must be removed from your luggage and placed separately in a bin on the X-ray belt.

Unmarked bottles of shampoo/conditioner/lotion are common in hand luggage, perhaps remove labels or re-bottle liquids that might be subject to scrutiny. (A bottle labelled "Toxic" or similar is not going on the plane with you)

Enjoy your trip
Cheers

I've always been asked (in fact it's on the declaration form) if you purchased "unaccompanied goods". So I don't see the difference between a supplier shipping it to you and you shipping it to yourself except that you will have to tell them all about it when you re-enter Canada (or make a false declaration).

Making room is ideal, but it is tough to have extra room in those little ziplock bags. I will obviously make 1 or 2 bottles fit.
As I will be at a store sampling juices, it is effectively the same as me ordering it through them and having them ship it, except I control how it's packed and when it is shipped. Further, I can mark the label the way I want to and put it down as a gift. The dollar denomination of the amount I would buy would not be enough to need to be explicitly declared.
