The Neptune obviously is mostly metal but has the small window. Is this clearo safe to use with cinnamon base or citrus juices. Anyone trying it?

i used my regular viva nova slim with some fireice elixir (pure awesomeness by the way) yesterday and it was rocking. But I cleaned it good as I did not want to leave it in there for any length of time. I used it all day without issue. Just not sure the king term effects if I continue to use it.

anyway I wanted to see if anyone was successfully using the Neptune?

Yeah kind of weird, I would have thought the reasoning behind it would have been for other juices, so why not use the right kind of plastic. I could probably use my regular viva nova for a while as long as I clean it out everyday like I did yesterday but I love the novas and I hate to ruin one out of stupidity while trying to push the envelope :)

You could get the full metal tube. You can't see the juice level, but you probably have a good idea when it needs to be topped off. Some people drip in a toothpick to check.

Using a toothpick is great idea! But let's say I am driving and want to check the level of my viva nova. I have been spending sometime on researching fusing glass with metal and from what I can see it's not a easy process... But with that said the Kanger Protank has done this. But there are downsides to this design as in tank size and you can't change the drip tip. Also cleaning the unit is going take a little more time. If Kanger can attach two pieces of metal to a Pyrex tank, then why can't we have glass tank with a fused threaded metal top ring and bottom ring??? No more o-rings and pressed fit! Then screw in the viva nova base and top with o-rings, 510 connection. Then we could use any juice and not have worry about plastic. Done!
