I'm using a KGO, assuming that it's a 3.7v. I use a 1.8ohm head and any flavor I put in becomes very muted, and tastes pretty bad, nothing like in a carto or atomizer. I changed the head to 2.8ohm which is the only one I have, and it seems to taste much better, placebo? Anyway, at this higher ohm seems I have to suck in harder to get a good draw, but I've only tried this higher ohm with a 100%vg so maybe that's why.

Any similar experiences?

Alex,

A lot of us have been in the same boat. The Vivi Nova often times has a weak flavor and if it does not wick properly, you get a burned taste from the coil. May I suggest purchasing an Artemas Tank from Madvapes.com. With the carto they run about $11. I buy the tanks without a carto for $8 to $9 and then buy Smokteck single coil single (or double punched) for approximately $1.75 per carto in packs of 5. Personally I recommend the 2.0 Ohm or 3.0 Ohm flanged cartos for this type of tank. If you like this (inexpensive) tank, then buy one of their filler tips which can be used not only to help fill them but can be used as a nice long drip tip. My Smokteck cartos last about two weeks of heavy vaping, then I boil them for 5 minutes, rinse and let dry. I get another week out of them before giving up and tossing them. Still a cheap setup. The taste is wonderful as long as you make sure you prime the cartos well when first filling and let the primed and filled tank sit for at least 5 minutes before starting to vape a low voltage to make sure that the coil is good and soaked. After that, you are good to go, even with thick juice. The only thing that has ever caused a leak is occasional flooding of a carto. The tank itself has never leaked no matter what position it is stored in.
Best Wishes Wabbit

One to three drops of distilled water in the tank with your VG juice can thin it out a bit. Alternatively, there's always the Vivi Nova "tilt-and-swirl" method, where you turn your PV pizzle-end up and swirl it around to make sure that the wicks are soaked. With something like Boba's Bounty, I've found this to be necessary on nearly every drag.

I'm trying to avoid carto tanks because I seem to get some taste interference from the filler material. I like the kanger t3 flavor performance more than the vivi nova but it has a weak draw. I think I should try an atomizer tank when I'm more experienced cause I love the atty performance the best
Have you tried putting a toothpick in one of the 3 air intake holes? I've heard it helps reduce the airyness. You can try it first by putting a finger over one hole.
