I used to use the Vivi Nova tanks, and liked them when they were working well. But sometimes they have problems delivering enough juice, which sounds like the issue you are having.

Like you, I don't want to "fiddle", I don't want to roll my own coils, I don't want to change the wick, etc.

I moved to a Kanger Protank II with one of their airflow control valves, and I've been happier with it. It has wick/coil on the bottom, instead of the top, and I think that helps a lot. Also, when I used the ViVi Nova, my juice would gradually get thick and dark and I'd eventually have to dump some of it and start over. With the Protank II, that never happens.

I use the Vivi Nova with an ego c-twist and a 2.4 head and 6mg liquid. I usually replace the heads once a week (i don't bother cleaning them). Sometimes, though, i get very hot painful hits on the back of my throat a day or so after replacing the head. Sometimes it takes less than a day. It always goes away when i change the head and when don't have this problem, i can go a week or more on a head just fine. So, i figure i'm getting some bad heads. I have ordered them from both Gotvapes and Aquavapor but i can't tell if the bad hits are happening from one particular purchase since i didn't bother to keep track of which heads i got from where. Has anyone else experienced this? Is there a particular website that you could recommend that i could good quality Vivi Nova heads from? Please don't waste your time telling me about recoiling them. It sounds interesting but i just don't have that kind of time or inclination. I'm a "throw it away and replace it" kind of guy.

You definitely should be looking at cartos

Thanks. I really didn't want to go back to polyfill as i ended up "fiddling" too much for my tastes when i used those kinds of ecigs, but i'll look into it. Some of the things you said made me think. The burning i feel is reminiscent of the time i put pure VG in my vivi nova because the VG was too thick and it didn't wick properly. However, the fact that this happens even after i turn the vivi nova upside down a few times and the fact that it goes away when i replace the head tells me it's probably not strictly a wicking problem. UNLESS some heads just don't wick as well as others. This is what i'm wondering about. Are there some websites that just sell low quality heads that cause this sort of problem? If it is a wicking problem, why do i have this issue with some heads and not with others?

Yes

I got the Smoktech ARO yesterday. The draw was a little too easy for me but after plugging up one of the air vents, it's very nice. I also like the taste and TH i get from it. I can't speak for long term use yet, but so far it's performing better than my Vivi Nova. I think this may replace it for me. My only complaint is that it's more difficult to fill but i guess i'll get used to that.

There is an airflow control you could use instead of plugging the vent.

Airflow Controller for 510

Cool, I'm glad you like it. I use a syringe now to fill my tanks, you might give that a try ... makes it very easy.

That's a good tip, but it would be difficult to carry a syringe in my pocket. I wonder if i can find a small bottle with a longer, narrower tip than the standard ecig bottles. That would do the trick.

If my memory serves me well, I think I got a bottle of juice from HoosierE-cig.com, the Dekang 10ml bottle has a needle tip. It is what I use over and over again.

I've never had a problem with vivi nova heads. until now. I've been using vivi nova tanks and heads/coils for the last year or so. first time i've ordered from gotvapes in a few years. these heads vape like they were already used and prewashed. really terrible. all my juices vape like old socks. i received 3 packs of these. and i have tried one of each pack. no changes. not receiving a burnt taste just bad taste/vape.

I have the same issue. It has an old mushroom, musty flavor for the first dozen pulls then it goes away and taste the juice as it should. Try giving them a little more time/pulls to see if you get the flavor to come out.

No its just bad coil/wick. i have been using vivi nova ones for a long time and never had this problem. the hits are soo dry, and the vape is soo gross on all my favorite juices that i've also been vaping for a few years. constantly steeped for weeks or one week or a month. and yah, never had this problem. I just ordered from a different vendor and will update if i am back on track with them. I have a feeling its just the place i got them. because i ordered 3 packs. all different ohms. and all of them are terrible.
