Poor throat hit 1.8 Vivi Nova?

I am using a Vivi Nova on a standard ego battery, I changed the atomizer head to the spare one that comes with it and I can hardly get a drag out of it and throat hit is minimal, its like smoking one of them ultra low tar cigs, I thought I was using the 2.4 head but what I actually had on was the 1.8 head, the 2.4 head worked great so I presume I should get an even better throat hit with the 1.8 but its dire.

Anyone any ideas or is the head dodgy.
