I picked up a vivi nova and started off with the 1.8ohm head, but when I tossed it on my provari I decided to check the ohm level and the 1.8 ohm head read 2.8ohm?! I decided to try the nova cause I was at a local vape shop trying some new juices with their nova tank at it had a great TH and taste. I'm letting the nova sit alittle to soak up the wick with juice. But what's with the ohm reading?

I have discovered when screwing the tank down on the wick base that the wick turning with the tank can sometimes reorient the coil especially when the tank is dry. The silicone cap can push the wick down to hard effecting the coil. I check the ohm before putting the tank on. You can take a toothpick & change the ohm by pushing the wick where it is closest to the coil. As I stated, I check before putting tank on & then after assembly & it will sometimes be off .1/2. I don't see it as a big deal. FYI

Push the "V" down a couple of notches. Novas dont have to sit that much. I personally add a drip(drop) or 2 to the head, burn a bit while blowin into it, fill it up, twist and turn, if the wick looks saturated I resume vapin immediately. Different heads act differently regardles of the ohm/volt. If your comfortable with a volt, stick to it. There aint no norms.

So I check all 3 of the heads that came with the vivi nova! The 1.8 read 2.3ohm/ 2.4 reads 3.3ohms/ 2.8 reads 3.1ohms!! Wth!! Not one read right at all..and I checked them all on my provari

The day I saw one marked 1.8 read 3Ω was the day I ordered Kanthal and SS Mesh. No room for that nonsense, and certainly no reason to be paying for it.

I had two brand new heads, I just tore the coil & wick out. Not a fan of inconsistencies or silica. I still have them sitting here (for some reason) but no true intention of putting them back in.
