I don't know what the heck is going on. I have to be doing something wrong.

I've bought new heads, but all my juice just tastes nasty.

I use:

1) Lavatube @ 3.8 v with a 2.2 ohm single coil carto tank.

2) eGo-c Twist 1000 mAh @ 3.8 v with a 2.2 ohm single coil carto tank.

3) Kgo VV 650 mAh @ 3.8 volts with a 2.2 ohm single coil carto tank.

I do everything I've been told, I've watched a million youtube videos, I've seen several friends use these and rave about them. I've had nothing but Gah! experiences. I've been told "sometimes the heads need to be broken in."

I have 3 very semi-used 2.4 ohm heads. I found the best fire at 4.0 volts.

I tried to vape this thing to break it in, but after ten minutes of (not constant) vaping, it still tastes like burnt poop.

I've even dripped a drop or two of juice onto the coils. Yes, I said I watched youtube videos.

I've had this genuine madvapes Vision Vivi Nova for almost two months now, I've done all the hullabaloo to keep it clean, the heads clean, I even bought vodka when I shouldn't, so I can clean it.

Please, please tell me what I'm doing wrong. Why isn't the VVN working for me?!?!?!?

EDIT: Forgot to mention I vape 80/20 pg/vg.

Rocketpunk, I had exactly the same issue with mine when I first started using it about 6 weeks ago or so. The issue was it didn't wick fast enough to keep up with the coil. I'm still using the first head on it which has 4 wicks and meters at 3 ohms on my LT. I just cleaned and dry burned it after 3 tanks of my DYI 50/50 pg/vg with 11% cinnamon, 3% EM and 2% chocolate. Running it now very happily at 4.3 volts. It starts to burn at about 4.9 v after a few quick puffs. Before I cleaned it I was vaping at 4.5 v, but the flavor was not great anymore.

What I do is take the silicone sleeve off the head and using a small screwdriver I push the metal ring inside it about 1/16 inch towards the battery. Place it onto the head gently so the metal ring does not move. Be careful not to put it back with the ring upside down. The shiny side is up. This side also has a bit of a crown on it I think, at least that's what it looks like to me. I screw the main outer sleeve down fairly tight against the bottom metal piece that has the 510 connector on it. I then screw the top onto the VN but only tight enough so the big O-ring on the top piece seals with the outer sleeve. Looking at it I see a very small gap between the top piece and the sleeve. This means I am not compressing the silicone sleeve on the head down tight against the wicks and that fixed it for me. BTW, I never clean heads using anything other than warm water and then dry burn. HTH!
