Hello all,

I recently got a Vivi Nova 2.5ml and am using it on an Ego C Twist. Since Im a student I keep all of my devices in my bookbag. I was just wondering if the liquid in the nova would drip out if i have it in my bookbag? With the stock drip tip on it, it seems that liquid shouldnt drip out of it, but just being precautious i put my Ego in a zip lock bag. So would the Nova leak if it is in my bookbag and is titled/upside down? Obviously I would try my best to avoid it being upside down. Thanks for the help!

Never had a viva leak, but also never had it upside down for any extended time either. That's not saying its impossible ... A poor seal on the top, bottom, or tank, even a bad wick could cause a leak.

That said, I've also dropped several vivas and busted the plastic tank, they seem to crack right around the threading which you don't notice right away .... and an hour later they're wet. Baggie may be cheap insurance :)

Hi iRyyy! It shouldn't leak in your bag, even when tilted upside down - I've never had any troubles with the Vivi Novas (apart from the quality of the vape - but that's another story for another thread :D). Keeping your device in a bag sounds like a good idea, though - just in case!

Things you can do to minimise/avoid leaking:

1. Make sure the head is properly tightened onto the center post/column after a refill - sometimes they can work themselves loose.
2. Try not to get any juice on the threads of the tank itself when refilling - it can and will seep out.
3. Be careful if you are traveling by air (perhaps going home to visit family during the holidays?) - changes in pressure often cause tank systems to leak.

Hope that helps.

It could... leaking from the top of the coil is fairly common with VNs.... the issue is with that seal. It's basically sealed with a pressure fit on the silicone sleeve that sits above the coil and wicks. Both the smoketech (which is a cap) and the Vision (a tube) need to have a good, tight seat against the top cap to avoid leaking from around that seal. My VN has a cap style and I found that I had to tighten that cap down pretty tight to keep juice from seeping in... which could crack the tank if I get a bit to heavy handed.

I suppose you could either put it in a bag... but then leaking could get all over the place. Another option is that if the drip tip seats tight and you have some cartomizers around, you could always slip on a condom from a cart over the drip tip. The DT on my VN is the same diameter as a cart, so it would do a good job of sealing things.
