Vivi Nova popping all the time

OK, I have the larger unit, The 2.5 kit and that works fine but I just yesterday put on this mini version.

It's 2.4 ohms. Not only is the taste weird but it constantly pops! I'm using the ego twist at about 3.7-4 volts.

Any thoughts?

maybe fluid getting on the coil? I don't know otherwise. Mine doesn't pop at all ... how is the vapor production / flavor?

Hi there, Karen.
Well, it's producing good vapor but a horrible taste. Think it's the silica wicks.
I took the tank off and screwed the post on the battery and looked under a microscope at the coil and it's just popping like crazy and smoking. ODD.

This morning I cleaned it and replaced the juice with 60/40 PG instead of 70/30VG.
NOW it's working fine......
Mmmmmmm. They don't like high VG, kinda knew this but didn't think I'd get that type of performance from 70/30.

That's good to know ... really it is. I think the stuff I have been ordering is 60/40 but the Vanilla I use in my Mini might be 50/50 dunno. Glad you got it working, it's a nifty unit!

Well, this is just not good!

I've now discovered that PG does not like me. OR is it the other way around. Yes.
PG is giving me a sore throat. So, I must go back to my 70/30 VG and find a way to vape it.
4 years on and off and STILL having issues.

Funny thing happened yesterday. I tried my Mini Nova again and it worked!
No popping. It's odd. Same juice but I did clean it.

The taste is better too.......

glad to hear your up and running. my large nova pops very lightly sometimes. i dont mind it. it lets me know its churning out some great vapor.

In my experience, the reason your vivi stopped popping louder after the cleaning is because you set the plastic cap that rests on the post tighter. A bit of a gap and you will get the popping and spatter. Next time it starts popping loudly take a q-tip and run it down the mouthpiece to secure the cap.
