Hiya Des,
I think the best tip with Vivi novas is regular cleaning, and dry burning the heads. I'll post a video below for you.
Also - when the juice level gets low give the vivi a tip and swirl to keep the wicks wet.

Dry burn at 3.7 or 3.8 volts - so you don't pop the coils. Second half of the video is on rebuilding. I don't bother myself - but quite a few people rebuild.

i have about 30 vivi novas (I got them cheap and I like to always have a different flavor ready to go) anyway there isnt to much to the vivi nova to get it to work really well. I found the 2.4 ohm heads to work the best at about 8.5-9.5 watts (or 4.5-4.8 volts roughly) but that is all personal preference. Every once in awhile I'll get a head that gets hot legs which is more or less when the wire inside the head that isnt wrapped around the wick gets hot and burns the juice producing a terrible taste (burnt taste) but that sometimes goes away after use or sometimes the head needs to be changed depending on how bad the legs get hot. These are easily rebuildable as you can see from the video posted above, that is a great video to watch if you own a vivi nova. The other thing about the vivi nova is that after you fill it up with juice you have to make sure that the rubber grommet that is attached to the atomizer head is perfectly aligned with the hole in the metal mouthpiece cap, if you fail to do this you will have flooding and leaking issues. You can align it with a small flathead screwdriver. As kiwivap said when the juice gets low make sure you keep the wick wet or it will dry burn (I personally always tilt it up and I have never had an issue other than the occasional flooding) If you want to try a mesh wick it does work but it takes a lot of practice to get it perfect and IMO nothing works better than the standard silica wick but definitely try to rebuild it I think its a good skill to have say if you ever got a genesis style RBA. The final tip that I have is that a lot of the heads are about .2-.4 ohms off most of the time after break in the come down to what they say they are supposed to be but sometimes they are off so just check them. Other than that its one of my favorite atomizer/tank/RBA whatever out there aside from the genesis style RBA's, I hope you have good luck with it.

I was only able to use the 2.8 ohm heads on the vivi at 3.7 volts or so or they burned. I am a pretty heavy chain vaper tho so it never got much of a chance to cool off. Just start it out at a low voltage. Good luck. A lot of people really seem to like it.

I only like to use 1.8 Ohm heads and have not experienced them burning. I chain vape as well. I think this is a ymmv sort of thing.

If you end vaping around 4.0-5.0 volts I'd imagine 2.4 Ohm head would be better in those circumstances.

My STV Nova Tank was great out of the box with all the heads it came with at all voltages but have just burnt through 5 replacement heads and was so close to binning the whole thing! was trying to do everything I could to get rid of the horrible dry hits I was getting then came across this vid. Seemed nuts at first but have tried it and it's now back vaping like a dream!

Also not sure if everyone knows this already but there is a hidden 'bung' in the drip tip itself and it can easily be displaced when cleaning. It too really effects the taste and hits you get. Just move it around back and forth with a small screwdriver to get it back in place if you think something is not right tasting.
But this vid has helped the most.

I use only mesh in my novas now,its simple,i wrap the coil first around a small screwdriver, same size as the head slot, install it in the slot with the screw driver and coil, then pull out the driver and slide in the mesh.Thats an old wrap, sloppy job,i trim the wicks and make em stubby style.

It looks likes kiwivap and the others have covered most of the basics. Stay with the low ohm coils for the ego battery. Also something I do each and every time I fill a tank is remove the drip tip, screw on the cap, and make sure silicon or rubber extension on top of the coil seals and is centered on the bottom side of the cap. If alignment is off, it will leak and you will get juice in your mouth. Plus it may flood the coil.
I just use a pencil or tweezers to move it if alignment is off.
I clean the heads with semi hot after two tanks and dry burn as needed. Then I rinse/soak in isopropyl alcohol for 20 minutes. I let them air dry for at least a day and then use them. Good luck. :vapor:
