That would be a center pin issue. It is an inherent problem of the 510 interface.

My crude drawing probably doesn't explain it well but here goes:

Very artistic :thumb:.

What is it?

Well the red piece on the bottom is the center pin of the battery.
The red above it is the bottom of the bcc atomizer head.

The space between the two is the problem. The two pieces in red are supposed to contact; there's not much leeway involved.
If there is space between the two red pieces you get the problem.

The tank pin is not making a conection with the battery, correct?

Yes; the atomizer center pin not contacting the battery center pin.

The problem can be solved by filing down the 510 thread on the tank side so that the atomizer center pic literally sticks out and therefore has to contact the battery center pin before you run out of threads screwing down.

MVPs have a problem with the bottom red thingy in the drawing. Over tightening toppers pushes down the pin on the MVP. It doesn't pop up on its own. Take a stiff pin or needle and gently work around the pin prying it up as you go. The other thing is the pin on the tank gets pushed up. Take a paper clip, bend an arm straight and put it in the center hole. Try to tilt the clip and pull out on the pin to get the pin to come out a little. Saturday I flung a pin across the room having succeeded in pulling the pin out a lot.
