I purchased a Nova tank a while back because I read that it was one of the best out at the time. I might have spoiled myself by vaping a low res. .357 atty from avid vapor for the last 6 months, but it does not hit nearly as well as a freshly dripped atty. I have posted this because I recently heard that these things hit great. I even ran into a guy with one that was blowing huge plumes of vapor out of one. I have not been able to get in contact with this person. I would like to know how to get my tank to hit like a freight train. I use a telescopic mod at 3.7v. Your help would be appreciated. Thanks.

Where you least expect it....
What is the ohms of the atomizer head within the tank? That might be one of factors that explains the lack of performance. Also, people have been rebuilding their atomizer heads. Making them lower in ohms compared to the original.

have 7 vivi's all with the 2.4 heads all they all give a different ohm reading form 2 to 2.8on a provari. They all have the same pg/vg ratio and they all vape differently. None bad, , some awesome some just good. Keep them clean and they work best. I,ve been rebuilding some and with a 3mm wick and a loose wrap with 32 wire I've had great success. try to keep even spacing between coils not don't let them touch. They are the most hassle free easy to fill tank out there. Every once in awhile ya get a dry or burnt hit, keep the tanks full and vape at a 90 degrees. I have used almost every carto and clearimizer out there, none of them work perfect all the time. As far as the different ohms go just use vv and they all work good. My 3 cents. Al

When I first received my vivi nova I was not getting good vape at all and that's because I didn't have the volts set high enough. It came with the 2.4 head and I was vaping under 4 volts.I am quite aware now of the ohms law and the various vaping charts.

Who knew we would all become electrical journeymen when we started vaping eh? :p

You definitely messed up your expectations by using the 357 lol!
There is nothing like after you hit that mark on the 357 when all of a sudden one day the flavor just explodes!

That being said, I have 6 vivis and all at this point have now been modded to what I feel works for me. I did start to notice that after a few days the flavor diminished and gets bland. What I have found (and I'm not endorsing this) but what works for me is to
1. cut out and pull out the fiberglass insulation around the coil.
2. roll the wicks with my fingers to loosen them up and make them spread out more (more like hair strands than 2 or 4 thicker wicks)
3. used a 1.5 mm drill bit to enlarge the air holes at the base

one thing regarding vapor prodution (vp) on the nova is that when i crank up the volts for more th, the vp goes down. i also lose a bit of flavor. the trick is finding that right voltage for you where VP, TH, and flavor all coalesce.

instead of using ohms law, what i do is place the voltage 1 unit higher than the resistance and gently increase from there. for example, if i have a 3ohm head, i will start at 4v and increase in .1v increments until it feels right. generally, my voltage is 1.2 - 1.5 units above what my resistance is. this is much lower than what i do for atties. with my atties, i will generally go 2 units higher than what my resistance is. for a 2ohm atty, 4v works, sometimes more dependign on the juice and particular atty.

i have found that 2 units abouve resistance is generally at the max end of the vaping chart, meaning youll be anywhere from 8 to 10 watts for the most part. right where the unwritten line is regarding optimal vapor and atomizer life. but for the nova, goign that high results in burnt hits, dry hits, and a bunch of frustration. and frankly, the nova doesnt need that high of a voltage to be on par with other juice delivery systems (JDS) at higher voltages.
