I love my carto tanks, I would say a con is the learning curve... priming, refilling, and the fact that if you pull on the wrong end you will have a juicy mess on your hands!!! I started with an IBTanked and I love it, I have 4 so far... you also have to pick your cartos... I like ikenvapes with a laser cut slit, the pre punched ones don't wick fast enough IMO.

no worries, im no expert but yes i get more vapor out of carto tanks... however, the drags are smoother and longer than with clearos for me.

as far as flavor goes, short of dripping i like the flavor out of my cartos, the ikenvapes in particular. i have found that some juices perform better than others in cartos.

this is ibtanked: https://www.ibtanked.com/complete-tanks

i like their stuff, and the little "thingy" it comes with is awesome for priming the carto which is a crucial step.
the owner has a thread here and he is super helpful, i think his thread is called something like: do you fiddle with your thingy.

im not affiliated with them, i just like the tank and they don't break the bank.

between here and there
Big Fan of carto tanks. But I also like the aspire line of clearos. I am old school tho, meaning I punch my own cartos and still use Boge cartomizers. Carto tanks can last a long time between replacing the cartomizer. Depending on the ejuice you use. The darker colored ejuices always tend to gunk things up quicker and is true to any topper you use.

You really can't beat them for flavor tho. I have certain ejuices that don't taste the same when I put them in an aspire clearo, so those I still use the carto tank for.

Hope this helps a little.

:)

I pretty much chain vape so would the Carto tank be a good idea? Or just stick to what I use? Also is the flavor better and produce bigger clouds? Sorry for all the questions but I'm still new to all of this

Carto tank is basically a hazzle free vape; you are using a standard atomizer called a carto, and you throw away the carto afterwards.
The carto will probably last about as long as your atomizer head does.

Taste of the carto is going to be dependent on the wicking/filler material used inside.

If you are interested in a carto system, it is definitely worth trying out; once you are a carto tank system, you have a few options; there's different manufacturers of cartos and of carto tanks, so you are not locked in to any one company.

There's also the possibility of rebuildable using the Sophia atomizer

Carto tanks are what I landed on. I started with vivi nova's when I first started vaping and they are great until you find what else is out there. After trying almost everything, tank and atomizer wise, I use standard size Boge LR (Low Resistance) in a Kir Fanis tank, punched myself. I fire at about 3.8-4.3 volts on my Provari. Perfect.

Pros- $ Cost , Great taste and vapor production, CONSISTENT (that's huge with me), simplicity with efficiency, low maintenance for the most part, great for chain vaping, a whole lot less flooding

Cons- Learning curve but very easy to get used to (mostly priming), punching

How much are you looking to spend on a tank? If you don't mind paying I'd look into Vapourart.com their SnP tank is killer. Terrific fill system and high quality materials.

I have never used a carto tank but I did try just straight cartos. I bought 20 Boge cartos (4 boxes). Out of the first 3 boxes 7 were non-functional straight out of the box. The other 8 worked decently bit I decided that a nearly 50% failure rate out of the box was not for me. I never even opened the 4th box. With Vivi Novas you can rebuild the heads when they fail or if you get a dud. You can't do that with a carto.

I've been using the Vivi Nova style tanks since I started vaping. I've been thinking about trying a Carto Tank. Can you fine folks give me some pros and cons of the Carto Tanks and also recommend a good one to start with? By the way I'm using an MVP 2.0
thanks in advance

What kind of e-juice do you use? Your preferred PG/VG ratio may or may not be the ideal viscosity for certain toppers.

Hey a Pyrex tank with metal end pieces, that kind of carto tank, ibtanked I think is over priced, once you go to a carto tank you will realize what you have been missing.

Really? I think IBTanked is a pretty good deal for what you get. I've tried cheaper tanks. They work, but the cartos slip out far too easily. I've wound up with a purse full of juice numerous times. IBTanked seems to have a better fit the the cheap tanks. At least, a better fit then Boge F series tanks. I haven't tried Smok's tanks though.
